http://www.egcsd.org/news/2015-16/20160302-District-Names-Jeffrey-Simons-New-Superintendent.php
The East Greenbush Central School District appointed a new Superintendent last night. A very pleasent man who openly looked to meet and greet members of the community.
A very refreshing posture compared to the outgoing Angela Nagel who very rarely appeared in public and never appeared at any District functions outside of her mandatory School Board meetings.
Good luck to Superintendent Simons.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much EG Schools had to pay Nagel to leave.
Whomever this man is, he's got plenty of work ahead. Nagel left this place a mess !
ReplyDeleteThankful this new Superintendent doesn't have to deal with that greasy turd Phil Vecchio. Vecchio reminds me ALOT of that idiot film maker Michael Moore and cheesy talk show assasin Whoopi Goldfarb !
ReplyDelete3:49 - Phil Vecchio does actually remind me of Michael Moore. Good reference.
ReplyDeletePhil Vecchio is a great example of exactly what went wrong with the Langley Administration. Moles such as vecchio were allowed to stand up and assassinate the Town Board because the spineless Langley had no idea how to handle him.
With chumps such as Defruscio,Gilbert and Tirino spouting off throughout the meeting, its no wonder people resoundlingly sent Langley packing !
Vecchio represents the very worst EG has to offer and his opinions are politically charged to play to a very select few taxpayers. He is as worthless as his speeches, something the School Board figured out years ago when they sent him on his merry way !
Vecchio is Danahers water boy
ReplyDeleteWho is Danaher?
DeleteExactly ! Who is Danaher ?! Certaintly no friend of EG.
DeleteWhy all the talk about Phil Vecchio? What is he up to?
ReplyDeleteVecchio is a mole for County Republicans. He's Phil Danahers water carrying boy - step and fetch.
ReplyDeleteHe apparently thinks he's of some importance to EG because he stands up and spouts off about things he has no idea about at all.
He was dismissed from the EGCSD Board years ago because of his whacko ideas.
Is Vecchio the new EG Repub Chairman?
ReplyDeleteThey're organizing to set Rick Matters up for a County Legislature run.
ReplyDeleteOh please ! Let them run Rick Matters ! This will be fun !
ReplyDeleteI hope this is true....Rick would be an excellent choice.
ReplyDeleteThat's a Matter of opinion, but probably not the case.
DeleteRick Matters for County Legislature ?
ReplyDeleteThere's no way in hell that Rich Crist allows either Matters into the County . Disaster is looming for sure.
Plus the hint that Cristo is still advising the Matters would just about be the end of any County ambitions for Rick Matters.
How about the No Casino people? They are the voters and they made a stand in November 2015, they won't rally for someone who was pro-casino.
DeleteWhat you are saying about the "No Casino" people is not quite right. If the right person comes along - regardless of party affiliation - the support is there. But, unfortunately - most of those who supported the casino had more baggage than just a pro-casino issue that "trumped" everything else.
DeleteMatters is not the right person.
DeleteOK, aren't we over this yet? I was sick of it during the casino debacle, but then I thought we moved on. This generalizing "no casino" people is tiresome and childish. There were thousands (only those in denial will still deny that) against the casino and we were all against it for different reasons. So your comment is just a incorrect assumption. Some, were just simply against the process by which it went down. So, no - not all "no casino" people wouldn't vote for a person for being for a casino.
DeleteThe strongest ticket for County Legislsture would include Andrea Smyth, Tina Tierney and Tom Grant. They were the top three vote getters in last year's Town Council election. If they were to work together, they would be a powerful force.
ReplyDelete@ 9:11 AM, Great idea. Each of them would crush either Matters on election day. Would the Dems support them?
ReplyDeleteHas the Town Republicans cleaned up their campaign mess yet.
ReplyDeleteHave they filed the appropriate documents on their treasury ?
I can't figure out why there are no sanctions for the refusal to file the necessary documents in a timely fashion !
Why? Stay tuned. We're hearing the State Board of Elections is all over this. It's a major ongoing problem for the EG Repubs.
ReplyDeleteAs it should be !
ReplyDelete@11:06, is this a definite or just a rumor? Is the BOE actually going after them?
ReplyDelete11:38am. Call or email the BOE and get it straight from the horse's mouth.
ReplyDeleteWho is responsible for filing the paperwork to the BOE?
ReplyDeleteThe treasurer....it was Sean Mulvey.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Chairman DeFruscio suppose to make sure his treasurer keeps the paper work in order?
DeleteChump is done ! Its supposedly Danny Fiacco now.
DeleteOne idiot replaces another idiot. What has become of the political landscape in this town?
DeleteIts very simple. Chris Defruscio has ruined the East Greenbush Republican Party. Thats exactly what happened to the political landscape in our town.
Deletewoah...Chris is a bafoon, but those who allowed him as chair and went along with his, Tirino and Gilbert and Lanhley to name a few, tarnished the party. The old school children are to blame, don't let them all off the hook.
DeleteAnonymousMarch 16, 2016 8:40 PM--It is actually even worse than that. Tirino is a democrat, Gilbert is a conservative and Langley is an independent. That means Chris allowed those that are NOT registered republicans to help him tarnish the party. It's so sad but, both parties have been tarnished due to their history. Thus the reason EG 1st won...and now it's time to move on and keep an eye on the current administration as well as support their efforts to reverse the adverse effects of the past 10-12 years.
ReplyDelete840- Sadly that includes Phil Danaher, as well as Phil Vecchio. They were both responsible for Chris becoming Chairman.
ReplyDeleteAnd all the recent psycho-babble coming out of Vecchios mouth is at the direction of Danaher and County Republicans. They must have promised him something.
ReplyDeleteTown Board meetings are actually worth attending once again.
DeleteThe hallmark of the Langley administration was his inability to control his puppeteers- Defruscio and Tirino. The mere fact that this was allowed with the full consent of Phil Danaher and Rich Crist speaks volumes.
I have no idea what you are all talking about. Do you make this stuff up as you're typing it? Why the attacks on the two Phils, Vecchio and Danaher? What have they done to deserve it? Vecchio is just a resident who sometimes appears when he wants to speak out about something. Danaher is MIA, haven't seen him anywhere since last year. Is he still on the county leg?
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea because you are not aware of the connection. Vecchio is a "water-boy" for Danaher and County Republicans. He does the dirty work for Danaher and his tribe of misfits at the County level.
DeleteIf you truly believe Vecchio is simply a resident spouting off, your part of the problem.
And btw; Danaher is far from MIA. He's the deputy County executive in the legislature, or something like that. Yes, he is still in the County Legislature, quietly pulling certain strings behind the curtain.
I do know Danaher turns a blind eye to whatever he doesn't want to see. 1 Cooper Ave, the paving of Thompson Hill Road, the du-quadplex to name a few. At least he is no longer the planning board attorney. I think I asked what have they done to deserve it too soon.
DeleteDanaher wants everyone to think he's good for East Greenbush. When in reality, that is far from the truth.
ReplyDeletePhil Danaher is a career politician , which means he follows the $.
I don't expect anyone to believe me, but please open your eyes to his dirty , back door dealings on BOTH sides of the political isle !
Do you think he is re-electable at this point? It seems he is not for the people but for himself. I recall his slogan when he ran for town board in EG, "People, Not Politics."
DeleteWhen in reality , his slogan is actually "Politics - not people"...
Delete"All Politics, all the time."
ReplyDeleteIf he runs again, could he lose?
ReplyDeleteOf course he could lose. He's pissed off alot of "Old Guard" Republicans with some of his stunts.
DeleteThe mere fact that he is/was aligned with the dirtiest of County level political hacks makes him very vunerable come re-election time.
9:01 makes a good point. A lot of the "Old Guard" Republicans voted for JTT last election.
DeleteOur Town is in the midst of a change. A change of mindset and procedure that is way overdue !
ReplyDeleteLooking at the Towns financial troubles with an eye on maintaining service is something that will test JTT to the max.
Its not happening overnight. Langley plundered the Town into financial ruin. It will take months to get the train back on the track. Its worth waiting for !
JTT knew what they were getting in to.
DeleteSo far , it appears that MAM and Dimartino are being helpful and actually stepping into the fray .
Refreshing !
No more Langley,Gilbert and Defruscio makes a much more productive Town Hall !
Jack has done more in three months than Langley did in four years !
ReplyDeleteSorry, make that Jack, Tina and Tom. Together they have done more in three months than Langley, DeFruscio and the Smart Way Forward.
DeleteSmart Way Forward was a political ruse ! Dreamnt up by Chris Defruscio and Rich Crist. Langley was nothing but a puppet in the entire thing ! MAM and Dimartino were unwitting accomplices....they had no idea they were nothing but pawns for Chump Dumbfruscios plan.
DeleteThe entire republican heirarchy back thrree years aho was a complete farce ! They had NO intention of anything for the Town except political patronage jobs amd lining their collective pockets.
Really , if any of you know Chris Defruscio personally, prove me wrong !
I know Chris DeFruscio personally. You are absolutely right!
ReplyDeleteThere are no excuses for Langley and Defrscio and the inaction for four long years.
ReplyDeletePolitics aside, both of them are anti-EG and it showed clearly in the end. The vote totals prove people knew.
So Vecchio wants to talk about shared services!
ReplyDeleteHe's so stuck...but he brings up a great speaking point.
East Greenbush was actively involved in many different facets of shared services and they wern't in it to screw people politically out of their jobs !
All those agreements with adjoinging municipalaties went down the toilet with ANTHONY CORELLIS and CHRIS DEFRUSCIO and KEITH LANGLEY !
There in lies ALL the blame. Those three screwed not only the employees of the town but the taxpayers as well.
There is no excuse for what Corellis got away with. He did not save East Greenbush one thin penny while he ruined our DPW. He was a tyrant who had no idea how to handle the workforce except to scream his head off and berate employees he didn;t like. Anthony ruined the working agreements with other towns , that saved the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars!
Vecchio wants to talk about shared services ? He'd better be ready to step up to the plate and hear what his "friends' screwed up !
Chump screwed the Town big time ! He alone is responsible for the mis-direction this Town took over the past 4 years ! Langley was an unwitting dupe who was along for the ride.
DeleteFUE, don't be so quick to let Langlost off the hook. He was a heartless headcase who flatout ignored anyone or anything he didn't like. He treated people like dirt, so is it a shock that he hired a DPW Commish who did the same? We are so lucky that better people stepped up to the plate and that he and his pathetic loser friends are hopefully gone for good.
DeleteAnyone see Rick Matters article on p. 3 of today's Advertiser? He makes a good point.
DeleteThe Matters point would have been better made if either he or Mrs. Matters had been willing to vote for increases in the tax levy to pay for Sewage Treatment Plant Construction and Debt payments. I guess it's better late than never, but when Mary Ann and Rick had the opportunity to do something positive as Town Board members on this important issue, they instead chose to do nothing but kick the can down the road.
ReplyDeleteI smell political opportunism on the part of the Matters and I will remember this on election day.
