Funny that Anthony Corellis is denying the guys at the DPW their earned comp time and vacation time - that they have already earned...yet little Princess Missy - who happens to be Anthony's secretary and niece - is on vacation again. Matters is telling people that Corellis is NOT qualified for the DPW Commissioner job and will promote interviewing a new face for the job not connected to East Greenbush in January. She ceases to amaze, regarding her loyalty level, 0%. She said she wants the DPW collective bargaining agreement converted from in her words a Rolls Royce contract to that of a Chevrolet.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I heard, Supervisor Langley and Counsel Person Malone tried for a second time to get get a contract for our Police Department and Councel Person DiMartino would not support it. That's right, not support the police department after she told the members that she would. She outright lied to everyone involved. Also to note, any member of the board has the ability to introduce legislation to be considered with the approval of the board at the time. That process was followed. I applaud Langley, and Malone for staying focussed on the important issues and putting the town first.

If the EG 1st candidates are honest and true to their word we should not hear anymore rumors that they plan to hijack the Democratic caucas.

Mike Poorman simply thinks he's going to walk in to Town politics again and take money for himself and his family and friends.
The rest of us will be left far behind and he could care less.
The man hs NO vision or plans whatsoever for the Town.
He's a complete fraud and piss-poor business man.
He did NOTHING while he was a Town Councilman in the past.
His brother in-law is the biggest JOKE in Town Hall.
Why is he bothering?
A very popular Senator told him to get lost years ago because of his big mouth. Funny thing is everyone got along with the Senator back in the day, on both sides of the aisle, except Poorman.

DeleteIt appears from reading the article that Corellis is hanging his hat on some fabricated agreement from 9 years ago. How convenient that it just happens to be Mike Cristo as the recipient of the free pipe !

You have to be a TU Plus subscriber, but if you haven't tried before you may be able to get a free viewing on your phone. Basically Pat Cristo has a memo from former DPW commissioner Partak dated back to 2006 that the town would be responsible for replacing the pipe. Cristo offered to install it with no labor costs, as long as the town provided the pipe per Partaks memo. Langley (well whoever controls his puppet strings) is calling out Corellis for "gifting" town property inappropriately. I guess Langley forgot about that $150,000 paving for a weekend detour that was given to his former employer without any bidding.

The Gadfly is not going to get into the midst of the Langley/Poorman skirmish, but keep the powder dry for the main event. Fact is that figuring out how to pry public resources from public hands and putting them in private hands is THE machine parlor game in this Town, in case you haven't noticed.

Pete was the guy who let the town go unpaid for scrap for over a year and Chris allowed it to continue after he was appointed. Also, Chris harassed employees and ended up being paid off to leave. Well I guess I am not the only one that knows them for the people they are; these are "Catholics" that are religious, faithful and know how to play the games to get what they want! The kid had to learn from somebody. Champagne tastes! Beware, if Mikee is involved again, your all in Trouble! Its Cristo's way or the highway; but most of the Politician's know their game plan and its pretty well KAPUT!! Remember the Vaseline on the Car Door! during campaign time a few years back. That was the BEST! Whoever pulled that stunt kept the town in stitches for days on end. We got some good laughs of Mikee, though! ya gotta admit that!

DeleteExaggeration and hyperbole will get you nowhere every time. Last night at the Democratic caucus the candidates pledged to run a clean campaign and I think they will. So why don't you all follow suit and cut the B-S and focus on the issues? You worry about a pipe that was returned to the Town. Why don't you worry about why you are probably paying a bigger water bill than some of the commercial businesses in the Town? Read Pete Stenson's article in the Advertiser. Now that is something to worry about.

ReplyDeleteThis year , we have Don Johnson and his gang of upstarts looking to unseat the two major parties and ALL the political rhetoric that comes along with that.
We have the current Supe. battling with his own people and appointees because they are all angling for position in November as well.
When and if we get out of this unscathed, and that is quite a hope , what next?
If these EG1st people lose , they'll be a fly in the ointment to whomever wins. If they win, will they actually do half of the staments they have made thus far? Are they even capable of doing any of the statements they have made thus far?? Bigger question- why havn't they come out in support or dissent of Town employees with all this angling from Poorman and Langley and Matters and Corellis.
It would seem logical that they would make their opinion known and exactly what the plans are should they gain a win in November !
Jack is a smart man, he should address this immediately rather than later.
Because the dissent and circus created by Poorman, Langley and Matters, they are taking the high road and not stooping to their level. Thank goodness! This childish banter is absolutely embarrassing.
