GET REAL, MIKE!!!

Cristo should drop the "?" from his newest column.  It should be "Double Standards, Double Talk and huh by Michael Cristo" not "Double Standards, Double Talk and huh?" by Michael Cristo.

Double-dipper?  GET REAL, MIKE!!!  Stop crying about choosing the County over the Town when double-dipping was ruled illegal by two courts!!!  That dog don't hunt!!!

Consultants?  GET REAL, MIKE!!!  Whine about EG hiring back 3 retirees who didn't "train or plan for a replacement".  They'll provide critical services to the Town.  By the way, you need someone to train in order to "train or plan for a replacement"!!!

Three police officers?  GET REAL, MIKE!!!  EG didn't appoint one of his friends - oh well!!!

Rensselaer County Taxes?  GET REAL, MIKE!!!  The folks mentioned by Mr. Slawson rank Rensselaer 82nd out of 792 counties reported in terms of 2009 total median property taxes paid -  almost the top 10 percent in the NATION and 13th out of 38 New York Counties reported!!!  Up from 110th out of 793 counties NATIONWIDE and 15th out of 38 New York Counties reported for 2006!!!  How's that 2.5% County property tax increase thingy working for ya, Mike???

Phil Malone?  GET REAL, MIKE!!!  Don't rag on Phil for not solving in THREE MONTHS the very same problems YOU not only ignored for THREE YEARS but helped create!!!!

Deputy Chief?  GET REAL, MIKE!!!  You whine about EG hiring back 3 retirees who didn't "train or plan for a replacement" and now whine that the Town Board appoints an Assistant Police Chief?!?!?!  No ill wished here on Chief Lavin ... may he live long, prosper and serve well, but GET REAL, MIKE!!!

The only true words in his entire rant are the last three "Maybe I'm wrong"!!!!  NOW THAT'S REAL, MIKE!!!

  2. The sad thing of this is that Cristo is like the pied piper of the brain dead reform party. He says whatever crosses his mind - it usually has little or no truth or fact - and they believe him ! That's the primary reason that he is un-electable and the reform party can't gain any credibility. Taylor is nothing but a stump for Cristo and she's the picture of what a brain dead ex-banker looks like ! Unfortunately these reform whackos have no one else willing to step up - so they're stuck with her. Great for the Dems - sucks to be a republican/reformer. Giggle!giggle - boom-boom !

  3. I think the way Defruscio and Tirino put it is, "Cristo hung them out to dry". That may not be exact, but you get the point. Don't believe it Mikie? Ask them. They'll tell you. You led them by the nose and right off the cliff. By the way, how does it feel to be all alone? Well....mostly alone. Hey remember the time when you were up in your seat on the board and you said you didn't have any real friends on this side of the river? You have even less now, how's that working out for ya?

  4. Shakespear Junior over there is now back tracking...he hasn't got a clue of who, what , when, where or why? He took a shot and had to back up - go figure and then like Dwight - he quotes the bible only he's got it all wrong...I'm not mike - i'm actually a woman - a woman closer to you than you think ! lol !!! Keep guessing loser !

  5. The hypocrisy of the "politician" -( Cristo)is unfathomable . He writes that one of the new officers is related to McCabe and in the same breath is bitching because his personal choice didn't get picked ?
OK....I'll play along - you claim people hired and promoted will be beholding to others - like Clark wouldn't be beholding to you and your cadre of morons?? The hypocrisy is clearly defined below:
Hypocrisy is the state of pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that one does not actually have. Hypocrisy involves the deception of others and is thus a kind of lie.
The above definition is the best portrait of Mike Cristo I've ever read! Fits him like a glove ! You know what they say ; if the shoe fits ......
Your so completely out of touch - the new hires were interviewed by 11 people- idiot! Including some of your stool pidgeons - and you still can't get it right ! Keep writing - your easy to pick on !

  7. Did I read correctly Steve - Denfruscio and Torino walked away from the boy wonder??
He used more people and threw them away when they were of no use to him again ?!?! Oh - the irony of it all !!! HAHAHAHAHA!! More people used by the "politician" and thrown away like garbage - go figure ! His "dead bodies" are starting to pile up.

  8. Yes, one of the officers is related to McCabe. He is married to McCabe's niece. He's also been an excellent officer in the city of Rensselaer for many years and a homeowner and taxpayer in East Greenbush. Related to McCabe or not, he is more than qualified, has put in his dues, and like us, pays his EAST GREENBUSH taxes.

  9. I am wondering, and asking, the bloggers on this site to address themselves to the article in today's Business section of the T-U.

Home sales in our town are down in the same area as Albany and Schenectady. Meanwhile home sales in Halfmoon and Clifton Park are up.

The article specifically says the reason is taxes.

Taxes in East Greenbush continue to rise. That includes school, library, fire district, ambulance and town taxes.

Without laying blame anywhere what do the bloggers on this site see as the reasons and, much more importantly, the solutions? Do the bloggers on this site have confidence in the current Town Board to manage expenses and to resist future tax increases?

Can our shared concerns about super high, and increasing, taxes be something that finally unifies all of us in our town?

    ReplyDelete
  10. 924am - read your post over on the vomit blog as well. Bottom line - how long do you think these "tax-haven" states that you refer glowingly too - will be able to hold the line as their numbers of residents continues to grow?
Along with the influx of residents , services must grow proportionally as well. When services grow - so does the tax base. You reformers simply can't see your hand in front of your face - for all the indications each and every days in the papers and on TV - THIS COUNTRY IS ONCE AGAIN IN A RECESSION!! NOT JUST EAST GREENBUSH - THE ENTIRE NATION !!

    ReplyDelete
  11. 924am - Neither Clifton Park nor Halfmoon levy property taxes. Very few towns can compete with that. It's been reported that there was no tax increase in Saratoga County's budget.

You conveniently neglect to mention that Rensselaer County also raised its already high taxes.

There are many factors that enter the home buying decision making process. In addition to taxes, the article mentions good schools and good parks. Commute is another. We'd doubt that many people west of here are very familiar with Rensselaer County and thus would not even consider moving over the Hudson River.

Yes, we have every confidence that the current Town Board will do what is right for the Town of East Greenbush. Note that I say "right for the Town of East Greenbush."

Remember, East Greenbush has not seen tax increases in a good number of years and that resulted in inter-fund borrowing and contributed to the bond rating downgrade.

Again, we have every confidence that the current Town Board will do what is right for the Town of East Greenbush.

  12. It doesn't take a rocket scientist 9:24 anonymous; all the negativity created by the "others" on their stupid blog is the direct result of those numbers in the Times Union. And, that's the results of just residential; if I'm a developer with all the negativity and absolute craziness that went on for over an entire year, I'm going somewhere else and they have. Pure and simple. Thanks Ann (economic development coordinator??), Thanks Mike, great job!! You should be so proud of all you've accomplished. There isn't an area around that isn't suffering economically but add to it the kookiness of you and your followers, just shows that anyone considering to live here, people chose to go elsewhere. Great job---how do you and AT face anyone in this town? Realtors are starving everywhere but they gotta love you in this town, especially. Everyone needs to get in touch with the real world and real communication and put the blogs to bed already.

    ReplyDelete
  13. The absolute arrogance of christo and taylor is truley a testament to their ignorance of "realworld " life!
The entire Nation is suffering and will continue to suffer for sometime yet these two self-serving morons still try to blame the economic troubles of the entire region on McCabe and the Democrats. Get real reform party. Open your damn eyes and read the entire financial section of the news paper - not just what you want to see.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dear Mr. christo: #1 - Ann has never just brought idea's as business solutions at all. Her idea's are YOUR idea's and they ALL have a political motive behind them - FACT! Your continual whining about Clark Roehr not getting hired is just the most recent of your ridiculous BS !
Your continual assertions that are the solution to the Towns fiscal crisis and McCabe nor the Democrats can possibly solve these problems without guidance from you and your muse Ann - well that just speaks for itself. Neither of you two could manage your way out of the Transfer Station - yes the transfer station -the one you were overloooking when you claim mismanagement- ( your a moron if you think we're forgetting any of this).
Get this people - Mike got beat again and Ann has now lost twice - yet they both speak as if they're the saviors of the taxpayer in East Greenbush- Ann was terminated from at least two jobs that many of us are aware of - Mike is the master of word exchange and double speak. They want all of us to believe that the thing they called " A contract for East greenbush" was going to solve ALL the problems that they identified-( Mike has yet to claim responsibility for ALL that he was involved in as a Town Board member).
For you reformers reading this - you keep saying we're mean and nasty - yet you seemingly bypass and forget the never-ending slander campaign authored by Taylor and company over there on the bullsh*t blog she authors. Don't think for one moment that many-many people in East Greenbush arn't keenly aware of her and christos b-s campaign and what's almost guaranteed to come in the next few months. I look forward to working just as hard AGAINST anyone who taylor and christo endorse for town board - I refuse to see them dessimate an entire Towns workforce to only replace it with underqualified people such as DenFruscio or Grant ever again! Since all you whacko's refuse to sign your name - I too shall remain

  17. Just a little note to Anonymous #11 on the other blog under Board of Ethics....

You are whining you didn't see a plow till well in the late afternoon...tough....everyone has to wait their turn. The plows were busy all day making sure the school buses could get the kids home. I've only seen a plow once today...I'll live with it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Really, I was out and about well after school was out and the buses had all left. Couse couners was a mess. that was route four.. and the main road to columbia just as bad.. and forget the side streets. Your hubby must be one of the hard working guys that work for the town.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It's a snowstorm people! The more roads there are to plow, the longer it takes. I work in Albany and roads were just as bad there as was I90 coming home. The snow needs to stop before the roads can really be cleared.

BTW: I know Rosie personally and her hubby is NOT nor has ever been a plow driver! She just gets it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Every street can't be first....and one pass just doesnt' do it. Snow removal is an ongoing process.....bunch of babies!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Route 4 AND Route 151 - ( Luther Road) are State Highways- not plowed by the Town - 1023pm - I suggest you and the rest of your party learn what roads EGDPW is responsible for and what roads the State and County take car of before you level sarcasm and criticism un necessarily ! Typical reformer- want the world , just don't want to pay for it - typical

    ReplyDelete
  22. Timmy - yup - still writingFebruary 02, 2011 9:38 AM

Linda, Rosie and Jean : the impatience and lack of knowledge eminating from the cristo/taylor crew is exactly why people will not support their program. The simplest of explanations just completely eludes them - such as snowplowing in Town !
The continual display of ignorance by voters who support these reformers shows why they are so easily beat on election day. They have no clue how Government works. They want it all - immediately - yet they don't want to pay for it ! They scream and hollar because their hand-picked dupes couldn't cut the deal and were let go by the current board. Thank God we didn't have a real winter last year with Denfruscio in charge! We all would've been screwed !

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just wanted to THANK our DPW plow drivers. Regardless of the crap coming out of camp cristo - I certaintly appreciate the effort put forth the past 48 hours. You guys are doing a fine job. Thank you !

    ReplyDelete
  24. McCabe and the Board are doing a fine job ! Too bad the vomit blog readers can't see past their collective ignorance. Town Government is working fine - thanks to it's employees and Town Board working together - not against each other - like vomit readers want. Winning is great ! Winning means a better East Greenbush for EVERYONE !

    ReplyDelete
  25. McCabe and the Board are sitting on a debt owed to EG by Rensselaer in the amount of $3.5 million. What is the debt of the General/Highway funds to the Sewer/Water funds? A bit less I figure. Yet we face tax and rate increases because our administration can't seem to collect a lawful debt. What is going on???

    ReplyDelete
  26. Shakespear thinks he knows the solution to all of East Greenbushs problems , and he and Ann alone are the savior of the taxpayers! WOW! Read his continuing diatribe over on the bullshit blog- and...once again - he professes that he is the where-for-all, end of it all - know-it-all of politics and HE ALONE can solve the problems that plague East Greenbush.
Guess what Mikey - your so far out in left field and you still don't get it. There isn't enough time or space here for me to openly dispute ALL of your latest hate entry - I'll just sufice it to say that your as easy a mark as they come - and again you've proven to many voters that your clearly not the person to lead this Town in any capacity - EVER!

And Jeff....A guy comes out and actually supports one of your people, and all you can do is level a personal attack. Atta boy Jeff. There will no doubt be a "round" in your honor at Quigley, or maybe Casey's.

  30. On Ann's CFAC Thoughts thread Anon. #16 actually says - I applaud what the Egyptians are doing. How sad is that-they applaud death, destruction and unrest. Yeah, we really people like that in local government. I find that shamefully sad!
This is a perfect example of why the so-called Reformers should never, never have any power.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hang on folks - one of "them" over there has leaked that more rhetoric and lies are headed our way! And...there's clearly two ways to look at Dwights post - I and many others chose "arrogance" like he needs to give it his blessing so that others will think he's somehow in the "know" about such other professional people.
People-( like Steve Hart) who have been doing business for the Town in a credible, professional manner for years before camp cristo ever was even a dream!
823pm - go cry yourself a river somewhere else! Go have that drink at Quigleys or Caseys! You'll need it after the Cristo Kool-Aid starts to wear off !

  32. Timmy...yup I'm still here !February 05, 2011 11:31 AM

823pm- what now? Cristo and company going to throw more mud from behind the dumpster and hope they hit a Dem?? That's all they've been able to do lately- they take something small and inconsequential and make it look like they've found the Kennedy shooter or the Lindeburgh baby! You people over "there" on the b-s blog need to stop the mud pie fights and get with the program. You're doing everything possible to derail the train , instead of attempting to work with Town Government. Cristo and Taylor are advocating anything possible to embarass and demean local government - not very mature or intelligent on their part - but then again - did any of us expect anything different?
    - The sky isn't falling and your "revelation" supposedly coming in the near future - unless it's Cristo announcing he's finally moving to the Carolinas - and hopefully taking Taylor with him - we'll all deal with it ...as usual !

  35. Lola.....I guess you haven't read much history in your life. Egypt has been run for the last 30 years pretty much by a dictator and his party which featured nepotism and cronyism and military leverage. There are no democratic institutions and there has been a lot of repression. I'll spare you some obvious, but less violent parallels to EG, but that country is in need of serious reform, much as our Town is. I don't believe it is wrong to oppose repression and corruption. Sounds like you favor the "in-power status quo" no matter how humanly destructive and corrupt.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Whether or not EGB needs reform is the obvious difference between the Cristo blog and this blog. I also have no problem with opposing repression and corruption - however to even aline EGB with what Egypt has dealt with and is currently dealing with is somewhat conveinent for the reform party - yet really isn't all that relevent with EGB currently. Reformers use catch phrases that suit their cause - such as " in-power status quo". Humanly destructive and corrupt are your points of view and clearly a minority point of view.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anon...it's not that I haven't read much history..it's more that I am sickened that anyone would take obvious pleasure in the pain of others. Guess you haven't had much compassion in your life. I absolutely favor those in power in our town right now when I see what else is offered.

    ReplyDelete
  38. In case you haven't read #22 on their blog, do it.
Here's the response that should go with that one:
    22 Anonymous:

Why the "nagging" against Joe Lamountain AGAIN?

Don't get it? Is it sour grapes AGAIN. Lets face it; Bonnie comes to your daughter - scares ya, with her boredom; or Joe LaMountain comes to your door with the facts? Which one would you listen to? Seniors in particular love him - there's no changing their minds if he is helping the DEMS. There's absolutely no way! Bonnie, not a clue! She has absolutely not a clue. Wake up and smell the roses! Its sour grapes C & A! Grow up, ya lost; you'll lose again! Give it up. There's too many Bonnie's on your side; and not enough Joe's on our side.

    ReplyDelete
  39. MAH....You don't get it. You don't get to campaign on the Town's (read the people's, the taxpayer's) dime. It's not legal. It's not ethical. Just ask one of your "insiders." That goes also for using Town facilities and employees for making materials for campaigning and fundraising. Ask another of your "insiders." What is just so discouraging is that there appears to be absolutely no understanding of this standard. Like somebody said here before: "We won, we can do what we want." It is this attitude which has to be defeated, and it will be defeated.

    ReplyDelete
  40. 1100am - it works BOTH ways- NO ONE was more arrogant and out and about during the last campaign than your very own CHRIS DEFRUSCIO- dropping fliers in mailboxes - putting up signs and etc....etc...etc... It goes both ways - Defruscio did it in broad daylight and waved to people while he was doing it- all on the TOWN DIME !
    IT GOES BOTH WAYS!!!
Defeat for you reformers who are blind to your own misgivings - is guaranteed to come!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Timmy....If Chris campaigned on "company" time, he was wrong in doing so. If I had known about it, I would have said something to make it stop. If he was on Personal time or Vacation time, it would be a different matter. Let’s check to see. We know that Joe was actually on the company clock on company property. You need to understand that the "old" ways will probably die hard around here. But until the principle of "an honest day's work for an honest day's pay" is established for all, the taxpayer will continue to be hosed. This means no "private perks" like stipends or gas or water or two hour lunches or unnecessary jobs or benefits to the ineligible or "wired" projects, etc.

Right now, it appears that you are a part of an “establishment” very much interested in preserving the “old ways.”

    ReplyDelete
  42. 1150am - I'm not interested in anything but whats fair and equal.
I've read and watched while people from over "there" throw around accusations like yesterdays newspaper- and yet they simply excuse actions from their own -( like Chris Defruscio for example) because it doesn't suit their needs.
I work an honest 40+ hours each week and have done so my entire adult life. I simply want to express that things are just the same over there in the reform party supporters - and they seem to be overlooked while many of you look to place the spotlight on certain people to spotlight your agenda.
An eye for an eye or whatever other phrase you'd like. There's ALOT of things that went unsaid during the last campaign- and all the reform party did was make baseless accusations and throw blame without evidence. It didn't work - and this time it wil be answered more directly. My establishment is that I'm a Town resident for over 45 years- been thru alot more of this than I'd care to remember. I will not tolerate the continual throwing around of non-factual accusations by anyone over there- PERIOD! Get used to it- I'm not going anywhere ! btw- CHRIS MOST CERTAINTLY CAMPAIGNED ON TOWN TIME!! His abuse of his position is well documented by MANY-MANY people !

    ReplyDelete
  43. Timmy....an update....Chris was on administrative leave... Prohibited from going to work, even prohibited from going to Town Hall. Check with the Town attorney Rich Crist. It was kind of a joke....someone who actually wanted to work, was prohibited from doing so.

So there is no comparison between Chris and Joe and dare I say, our Receiver of Taxes.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Sorry...Craig Crist....

    ReplyDelete
  45. UPDATE: he was on PAID Administrative leave - he was drawing a paycheck from the taxpayers of East Greenbush - and ....most importantly - he did everything in his power to extend his leave ! Chris intentionally missed appointments or canceled them when he was supposed to be there to discuss his return to work - yet he chose NOT to return so he could focuson the election - ALL WHILE HE WAS BEING PAID - leave or not - he was on the taxpayer dime ! He wasn't in any rush to come back to work...he was only prohibited by his own doings...Rich Crist knows this as well. Receiver of taxes ? Not sure where youor going with that - but OK- your free to say it....

    ReplyDelete
  46. I know Joe and there were many Friday nights he was at democratic headquarters on his OWN time campaigning. I don't use the transfer station so I don't know about that, but he spent a lot of his own time campaigning. I can't really believe this is still an issue 3 months after the campaign.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Until the other side comes up with good, community minded candidates that can win an election everything they have to say is meaningless. Ann Taylor is not the answer. You would think she would be Ceo or Cfo at a fortune 500 company by now. She is nothing but bitter with no life. Cristo is not even a factor. Enjoy the Superbowl because there will be more action and excitement there than any Cristo/Taylor campaign. Although their campaign gives us alot to laugh about

    ReplyDelete
  48. Do the folks on the other blog who are after our tax collector realize that she works the same hours as our town clerk. Our clerk has a hour lunch and leaves every day at 3:30' she also has a full time deputy (who is very close to her family) and makes just about $8000 dollars more than our tax collector. Could party affiliation have anything to do with the reason the clerk is never mentioned.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm just pleased that you've done some consciousness raising about people actually putting in the time on the job that they are paid for. This is important for everybody. It is somewhat ironic that the Supervisor's "justifications" for the stipends he gave people centered around the "extra time" allegedly spent on the job. A day's work for a day's pay is the standard.

    ReplyDelete
  50. and....lest we forget Red Guynup - "consultant" on the payroll for 2010 and putting up signs , and stealing others all while on the taxpayers dime ! Red is Chris Defruscios brother in-law. Family Double Dipping???

    ReplyDelete
  51. Red has enough problems least of them political, can we leave him alone.

    ReplyDelete
  52. 1031pm - yeah - and where were you when people from here were being demoralized every - single day - people just like Red who have their own issues!?! HUH??!! One good turn deserves another - and....most importantly - if red was so tied up with his personal problems he wouldn't have had time to be out stealing dem signs and putting up repub. signs...leave him alone my as* ! You people are amazing - we have to leave your dupes alone but any Dem is fair game?!?! PUHLEEEZ!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. As a user of the Transfer Station I can say Joe Lamountain never discussed politics with me personally. I did, however, notice that he was up at that old gas station building that was used as the Democratic HQ. I stopped in there several times, as did others I know. He was there as often as 5 nights a week - making hundreds of phone calls - with his own phone. No doubt he could have done that from home, but wanted his presence known. He is a very loyal supporter and I do believe it wouldnt be such a problem if he supported Cristo/Taylor. I think Ann Taylor gets it better than most Reformers - she knows that he has a right to support anyone that he wants. Keep badmouthing him everyone - it will must make him work just as hard or harder for his candidates of choice in the next election. There is an old saying "Don't poke the bear" - very appropriate in this case. I know him well enough to know you won't intimidate him with unsubstantiated accusations and inuendos.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Whenever they write anything about the Transfer Station over on the other blog...they always try to show the shortcomings of everyone from the gentlemen who work there right up to, and including the Supervisor.

The only exception would be Michael Cristo...liason for 3 years. I wonder if they will ever acknowledge that perhaps, just perhaps, he didn't take his responsibilities seriously enough. I've never seen a negative thing written about him - at least be fair.

    ReplyDelete
  55. The people openly mocked and targeted by cristo and taylor are the ones that clearly supported the Dems this past November. Cristo can't hide his jealousy for those that were enthusiastic in their support of Mangold and Malone and quite frankly - he will never know that form of loyalty from anyone- which is his fault.
Taylor seems to be getting it - as does Ray Mooney. Cristo will NEVER get it - his ego prevents that. He drags her down and its just a matter of time before she dumps his pitiful rear for someone better . Shakespeare isn't all that great anymore and its starting to show - clearly! Thousand dollar words and million dollar phrases arn't going to cut it come November !

Then....just for giggles...type in Dave VanWormer or type in Malone,OBrien or even Mangold and read away. REFORM 925PM - GO BACK TO YOUR OWN LITTLE FANTASY WORLD OVER THERE IN CRISTO LAND! YOU ACT LIKE SOME OLD SCHOOL TEACHER. YOU ALL OVER THERE LIKE TO THROW NAMES AND START CRAP UNTIL SOMEONE CALLS YOU ON IT - THEN YOU CLAIM INNOCENCE LIKE YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG! FIGURES - READ BACK THRU THE CRISTO BLOG AND SURPRISE YOURSELF WITH THE STUFF THAT WAS WRITTEN ABOUT PEOPLE. YOU ALL SIT OVER THERE AND WONDER WHY PEOPLE HATE REFORM - YOUR THE POSTER CHILD FOR ALL THE REASONS I NEED TO VOTE AGAINST CRISTO - TAYLOR OR ANYONE ELSE OVER THERE.

Explanation was given - maybe not to your satisfaction - maybe because your one of "them" who likes to throw mud around until someone else calls you on it! Questions were asked and answered. Bye~bye - your clearly one of the losers who still can't get it or seem to catch on. Ride the wave ! :0)
