Over the past few weeks, Langley , Defruscio, Gilbert and others left over from the SWF fraud, have ramped up their continual harassment of Mary Ann Matters.
Langley and Defruscio have publicly denied knowledge or involvement , which is an absolute joke of a lie.
As far as Deb Dimartino goes, apparently she is so afraid to buck the trend and walk away from Langley and Defruscio, she just simply votes as she's told. Not good for the resident taxpayers of East Greenbush , not good at all !
So the question that begs asking is this; do we -< all of us > allow Langley and Defruscio to continue to walk our tax dollars into theirs and their friends pockets? Do we go thru another winter with our streets not being plowed or maintained? Do we allow Ed Gilbert to masquerade as the Mussolini of the Ethics Committee ? Lets be honest, he's only there to run interference for Langley and Defruscio.
Do we as taxpayers continue to allow Langley and Defruscio to screw us over on this Casino debacle ?
Lets be clear - whether your for it or against it, you should be openly disgusted with the way this scenario was/is being handled by our Supervisor.
Just attempt this simple task. Make your way down the left hallway @ Town Hall towards the glass partition. Make sure you stop at Denise Corellis desk or face the wrath of hell that is sure to come if you try to walk past. Ask for a meeting with Langley and see where that gets you... you'll hear him in his office, but there's little or no chance you'll get an audience.
So, this all begs the question, is it time to act as a Town , speak up against our openly corrupt Supervisor and his un-educated advisor, Defruscio. Rich Crist has wanted control of East Greenbush for years. We hope he's happy. Despite his own personal legal woes, he can't possibly be thrilled with the way Defruscio is running East Greenbush into the ground. Phil Danaher runs from questions and controversy, just ask Jack Conway. Some leadership huh ? People were duped into the SWF , "change and hope" rhetoric.
There should be no doubt at this point that we were ALL openly screwed over by Chris Defruscio .
Defruscio preached fiscal accountability and tax savings.....simple question: how's that working out for you ?
Had enough? Us too ! Time for all of us to fill the Town Board meetings and demand accountability and at the very least, our financial standings after ALL the audits. Audits that we still know nothing about !

I agree with you, Talks. The problem is that they really don't understand what governing is about. They're still stuck in the old practice of cronyism, patronage and nepotism which has passed for governing around here for a long time.

Let's look at the "power grid." DeFruscio would not be Town Chairman and Langley would not be Supe if the local Republican Committee were not made up of Republican County patronage employees. (I'm sure it would work the other way around too.) Until those linkages are broken, we will be faced with the same problems. Rich Crist wanted control of EG, and he got it - in spades. And now he will have to live with the fallout. But we can't have a return of a McCabe/Halloran/Wade administration either, can we. Time to break out of the woods.

ReplyDeleteEd Gilbert is an embarrassment and a liability to the town who should resign or be fired. Ed is the Republican drone who gave mam the play ball or else message that drove her away. Then, when she took offense to his threat, he masterminded the EGMatters blog to punish her for it. Neither the Supervisor, the Chairman of the Republican Committee, nor Mr. Gilbert himself had or have the guts to take responsibility for their actions. They hide behind a wall of denial and anonymity. This is pathetic behavior for supposedly grown men. In their infinite wisdom they singlehandedly dismantled the SWF and put every single appointed employee in town hall at risk for losing their job in trading deals. And still these geniuses continue to cyber-attack mam on a daily basis rather than work to repair the damage they caused. This is clearly the worst bunch of bullies to be elected in years. Many have said Langley is worse than McCabe. Meanwhile, the SWF ran a totally fraudulent campaign last year not realizing how things would be after they were elected. They didn't intend to deceive residents, they were themselves deceived by their own handlers. It's a bad situation that we're stuck with for 15 more months. Heaven help us, especially if we get that casino license.

She was elected to use her head and make her own decisions! If she's afraid of getting what MAM got, then that's all the more reason for her to rebel. She shouldn't let those cyber- terrorists Gilbert and DumbFruscio intimidate her. We'll be watching her closely to see if she's buckling under Langley's thumb or thinking for herself. We need to QUESTION HER when she votes with Langley to see if she can explain why she voted the way she did. She takes the paycheck, so let's take her to task when she can't defend her vote.

He should confine his presence to the waiting areas and the space where meetings he is attending are conducted. If he is present for a visit with his niece, Meagan Hart, she should be with him during his visit and he should be brief. If he has overstepped his boundaries, remember he is a "part" of this government because Langley allows it.
My point is that the work begins now to get two good candidates to run denying Langley and the other old school, intimidation type politicians any opportunity to run.

Government in this Town is getting pretty much out of hand. Kathy Jimino, Crist and the County Republicans should really be embarrassed about what they engineered and allowed to happen here. Gilbert's performance at the Location Board hearing last week gave the Gaming Commission a real picture of the incompetence of the crew. The Chairman even said that they got the picture. He said something like they didn't just fall off the hay wagon. And no "reality testing" is going on at all, as if they would know that that is. Is "dumb" too strong a term?

Completely understand that it appears the Gadflies are only talking about the casino. It's important to note that it's more than just the casino, it's the process in which the casino was brought to light. It's dealing with the same issues outside of the casino, but the casino debacle put a magnifying glass to the underlying problem: Langley, Defruscio, and Gilbert.

ReplyDeleteCheryl Vallee's election would be a moot point because Phil Malone is now slithering over to Supervisor Keith Langley. Phil's and Keith creating a faux alliance can lead to no good. Phil should maintain his distance from Keith.
I too appreciate the Talks blog for reporting additional wrong doings of the administration but Talks did seem to neglect reporting some other items such as why Phil is aligning with Supervisor Keith regarding Ed Gilbert. Why did Phil do that? Ed Gilbert, per this blog, is a political drone so why would Phil jump on the Ed Gilbert bandwagon.
Please Talks, do some of us a ginormous favor and find out what is going on with Keith and Phil aligning because that cannot be good for residents and certainly not good for Phil.
How's Keith Langley's Data Collector appointment, George Ranieri, working out? Was the County able to certify Mr. Ranieri's qualifications for that position?

DeleteI had a conversation with Raneri a few years back and he then spoke clearly that Defruscio is clearly NOT his father. George went on to say that nick was a very personable man who got along with everyone. Not so with Chris, who is now labaled a LIAR by everyone who ever had the displeasure of speaking with him.
Malone is slithering over to Langley because Langley's majority is broken and Malone sees an opportunity to strike gold. At the last board meeting it was three for three. Three resos for Langley and three for Malone. The deal making was prompted by Langley's desperation to not give Matters the public hearing she wanted, which, if passed, would have started the process to get his boy Elroy off the Ethics Board. But Langley would rather deal with Malone than give Matters an ounce of support. That's how much he hates Matters for breaking ranks with him, the little General. Langley could have the EGM blog taken down with one phone call but he won't cuz that's how much he hates Matters. And Langley could just plain do the right thing and take responsibility for what he and Gilbert did to Matters but he wont cuz that's how much he hates her guts. But what about the next three months AND the 2015 org meeting? Is town hall going to be half Malone appts and half Langley appts? Who will stay and who will go to the unemployment line? Does he hate Matters enough to start doling out pink slips? Quite possibly!
