The "trash talk" coming from both sides must cease so that the distractions it causes will end.
The new board needs our encouragement and support, not the constant bickering and back and forth debates that have occured the past 45 days.
This blog was started for a variety of reasons, the least of which being that it gave supporters of Mangold and Malone, OBrien and McCabe a place to vent their feelings. When the other blogs continued to allow the unending slander to continue and refused to post conflicting opinions, all the more reason for this blog to exist.
We know we've reached success, because their people have re-named this the Bile Blog. We'll take that moniker and smile when its mentioned in our presence because obviously the few people who sought nothing but to defame and slander people on the Democratic side of the argument are clearly in the minority.
With all that being said - to BOTH sides : enough is enough. Your opinions are valueable to you and your "people" but may not necessarily meet with approval from all residents. The cat-calling and sniping between blogs accomplishes NOTHING except fueling small fires of hatred and disgust that merits no recognition from any sitting Town Board member.
The folks who think we were "up to something" when we erased everything prior to election night, well your dead wrong! It was the request of Sue Mangold and Kim Halloran that we consider starting fresh without all the negative banter that existed. We agreed and deleted all previous posts. We received all kinds of criticism from the reform supporters who thought we were "up to something dasterdly" ...wrong again people !
SO - we'll try again....keep it clean and it'll get posted - Otherwise it see's the recycle bin faster than you can say : Hogwarts !

ReplyDeleteAmen. I thought it was ironic that the post "Time to Move Forward" was met with a slew of negative comments. Funny if it wasn't sad. As for myself, I decided that the best way to not get upset and respond to the other blog(s) is to not read them. I'm done. We all live here. The election is over. Let's make this place better and fix our problems.

If Veteran's Day is just to hard for you to remember and give thanks to the people who gave us this freedom, then I truly feel sorry for you. Jim; the clear answer is "NO" they don't know the election is over - and they can't stop their continual bashing and condescending comments. They call this the "Bile Blog" because it makes them feel better about themselves and the posing position they support. They take small little facts and exploit and exascerbate them to the point that the original facts are so skewed that they make no sense.

They keep harping that 49% voted reform - PUHLEEZ - those figures only delineate the Repubilcan vs. Democrat difference. It has little or no bearing on who voted Reform at all, but their narrow lttle minds can't seem to differentiate that fact.
- And....who the hell left this Don Johnson in charge ?? Wasn't he the guy who screwed up the Rick Fusco investigation in Rensselaer years ago?? If that's true and it is indeed the same guy, why would anyone buy into his line of hateful,spiteful anti-McCabe bullsh*t?? Just askin' ??
and....for those of you who think this Taylor isn't gearing up for another run and 11 more months of nastiness from her blog - you'd better think again...she can't see the horse for the cart - her ego won't let her !
Linda needs to carefully read the two recently released audit reports or find someone who understands how to read audit reports, and then try to understand how the conditions reported affect what happens or could happen to the assets taken from the taxpayer to be used by Town. Not pretty. She should also try to understand that election results to not change the facts and findings in those reports.
