Jennifer E. O’Brien for EG Library Board of Trustees

Dear East Greenbush Neighbor,

The budget vote for the East Greenbush Community Library is Thursday September 8, 2011 from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.  The library is the only polling place for this election.  The library provides vital resources and programs to residents of all ages as well as numerous community groups; I hope that you will come and support this year’s budget.

In addition, I wanted to let you know that I am running for a position on the Library’s Board of Trustees.  This position, which is voluntary and unpaid, would allow me to ensure that the programs and resources residents have come to rely on at the library will continue.  I also plan to work hard to keep the library running efficiently.  My experience as an educator, administrator and writer will help guide my decisions in the Trustee position.  I kindly ask that you consider supporting my candidacy and let at least 2 friends or neighbors know about the upcoming election.

Thank you for your consideration.  Please feel free to forward this along to other EG residents.

Best,
Jennifer E. O’Brien

  4. Interesting that Annie and not the candidate asks for support over in Taylorland. Must not want to be associated with the Bobbsey Twins either.

Jen O'Brien has the moxie to ask for support herself.

  5. Jen shows what she's made of just by running for library trustee, knowing she'd get slammed by the kool-aid krowd.

    Vote for Jen!

  6. One of the Cristo clowns is crowing about Jennifer O'Brien using her maiden name rather than her husband's name of Dubuque.

They should really get out of the 15th century over there and join the rest of the world in the 21st. Many professionals use their maiden name.

The clown's implying that it'd be worse for Jen O'Brien to use her married last name. The way they've been slamming Ginny and Mike?? As a Dubuque she'd be linked to her husband Lew who's raking in the "big" bucks on the Planning Board.

Of course, if she did run as Jennifer Dubuque, they'd accuse her of being ashamed of being an O'Brien. NO WAY, JOSE!

4:57 is so right. Jennifer has more character than the lot of them combined and will make a great EG Library Trustee, regardless of which name she uses. Jen has my vote, for sure.

  7. Jennifer O ' Brien is "using" the name O'Brien because..... (drumroll).....It's her name!!!!! She has always been Jennifer O'Brien; she simply chose not to change her name when she got married almost 13 years ago. The fact that the fools over there are attacking her desire to volunteer as library trustee is comical.
