  1. A deafening silence ...... what?? No bullsh*t from the queen mudslinger herself?? Where's this HUGE tax increase your crying about Ann?!?! IT DOESN"T EXIST!!
Once again - embellishing and stretching little tidbits to make yourself and your incompetent candidates look like they might know something!
ROFLMAO at your arrogance and ignorance !

    LOSER = TAYLOR / CRISTO / DENFRUSCION !

  2. Where's the salary schedule?

  3. More tax increases ... 'nuff said.

  4. 9:58 Let's not forget the $275,000 to pay down fund balance.

    Pretty good deal.

    ReplyDelete
  5. 9;58...You could pat yourself on the back, and we'd have no tax increase if your patrons hadn't run up the $2.5 million in interfund borrowing. There is a lot of evidence that much of the borrowed money went out the door for stuff that the Board did not have its fingerprints on.

    ReplyDelete
  6. 10:19 I think 9:58 is complaining and not patting anyone on the back.

Remember, the "$2.5 million in interfund borrowing" that you and a handfull complain about kept General and Highway Fund taxes artificially low all those years.

This Board is working to eliminate the interfund balances.

  7. Just got a card on the 4 candidates, couldn't help but notice the receiver of taxes candidate never even mentioned she worked for our school system, could it mean she really was fired or was forced to resign.C'Mon Man!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. It is not necessarily true that General and Highway Fund taxes were kept artificially low by the interfund borrowing. It also disguised very problematic management issues which have come to light and are now on the record.

    ReplyDelete
  9. C'Mon Man!!!!! She(ldon) resigned ... Ann even posted the (aleged) letter.

Didn't even spell out "rather than be terminated".

    giggle, giggle

    ReplyDelete
  10. j Smith...got the same card

They can sugarcoat it anyway you want...she was fired. Force out or fired....no difference..like you said C'Mon Man!!!!!

  11. 2:14 in your opinion, of course.

  12. What a bunch of pompous arrogant misfits. Who do they think they are showing up at a board meeting for the first time only because it's three weeks before elections and going way past their allotted 5 minutes to speak during the public portion of the meeting? They took what was the beginning of a great night paying tribute to the Miracle League and turned it into complete mush. Some guy got up there in his best sweat pant outfit and was rambling on and on about some ethics issue of a document that doesn't even exist?!?! Who is this guy? Who is he? And then they start chirping rudeness on the part of the Supervisor
when he had to cut him off after at least 15 minutes of his rambling on????? Oh stop it. The only mistake the Supervisor made was to have not stopped his rambling after the alotted 5 minutes!!!!, it was totally embarrassing for the poor Miracle League reps that were still sitting there from the earlier ceremony for the Miracle League. Total disrespect. Who is this guy???? He had
to mention politics and election day at least 10 times in his ethics term paper???
Who is this guy????? Someone said he used to be a regular lasy year with the other kooks along with Mr Gilbert, another arrogant political gadfly at tonight's meeting. Where was Bonnie???? Maybe Bonnie didn't want to get going on the whole signage issue again, eh Bonnie??? Not like you have any such monstrous
signs around town, now, do ya??? Those people are ignorant and have hatred running through their body so badly that it is not even funny. There is no place or need for that in our town. Oh, and to the one who called the State agency to
question the validity of Toni's position of being Vice President of the NYS Tax Receivers and Collections Assoc. only to find out that she most certainly is the V.P., shame on you. Why don't you check out your own candidate's qualifications and credibility? Not much there, eh?? Dispicable, classless characters. Shame on all of you.

  13. I attended the Town Board meeting Wednesday and it started out wonderfully. Senator Roy McDonald and Assemblyman Ron Canestrari showed how much can be accomplished when you put politics aside and work together for the benefit of the residents. The Miracle League was the topic and what a great accomplishment it has become! It was heartwarming to see the way people banned together to do something great for the kids.

Well, unfortunately, it didn't take Ray Mooney long to get back to the negative politics going into his longwinded and condescending overview of what he feels the town committee should be doing and what deadlines he feels they need to meet. The Town Board let him go on and on for a good 10-15 minutes, far exceeding the 5 minutes allowed. He asked and answered his own questions and when the crowd became restless of his persistent whining and political theater, he felt he was cheated because he coulden't go on and on.

Then Candidate Gilbert - in a cute move- asked McCabe to step down. Nice try Ed - that's never going to happen. You can't bully and intimidate Rick with the little dog and pony show that was put on.

I also noticed that Bonnie wasn't there. Was Bonnie embarrassed by the Reform Group? For a year Bonnie has complained about about the unsightly trailer on 9&20 - her wording - making the town look awful. Now we have an electric sign on 9&20 pushing Langley and Fiacco and a sister one on Rt 4. Bonnie - good choice to stay home - you've been had by the people you loyally supported.

Oh, Ray, don't take this the wrong way, but for your own health, as good as they are, you need to stay away from the chocolate chip cookies. I say this only because I care.

    ReplyDelete
  14. In today’s Advertiser, Rick McCabe states that taxes in EGB are going up a modest 1. 05%. This is a fine example of smoke and mirrors budgeting. What he doesn’t tell you is that this is true only if the town provides you with water and sewer service. Those of us who are not provided these services will see a tax increase in excess of 3%. My question is…since I don’t have the benefit of town water and sewer, what am I paying for? As I see it, I pay a lot in taxes to have my roads plowed and for EGB police services.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, and don't you just love how Mr. Gilbert's comment of he and his running mates being the 5% of the residents in this town keeping an eye on things!!! Oh, okay, Ed, so in other words you just called the other 95% of the town's residents, basically stupid. You got a lot of votes there Ed. What exactly do you do at Higher Ed? Clerk for student loans??? And, oh, Corrine, how about all that automated tax office enhancements you are blabbing about? Make sure you are telling the residents that it all comes with a price tag attached. A little detail you are conveniently leaving off eh? Hometown Leadership Team? That's why only
Fiacco and Langley are mentioned on those DOT signs? Some team.. Not only did they lose lines back to the Dems that they were handed that they proclaim celebrating a victory (eh????---huh????) but there is not a shred of experience among the four of them. Just what this town needs to go back to. Row A all the way for experience, integrity, class, compassion and endless energy!

  16. Ed Gilbert showed himself as arrogant and very Cristo/Taylor like last night. I honestly thought he was a decent person. He shot himself in the foot last night. I know a few people that were leaning towards him with their vote...and they all decided no way! He's just like a kid hanging with the wrong crowd now....I know him and used to have a lot of respect for him. Those days are gone.

  17. It seems evident that a few on this blog can only express their disagreement with another's view by using derisive speech, attacking the physical attributes of others, and knocking people who aren't even present. Way to go kids.
I too agree that Ray's comments were too long and Rick was right to cut him off. But then to go on and call comments disagreeing or citicizing his behavior (McCabe's) as "crap" was totally uncalled for. He sets the standard for how the town employees behave. No wonder empoyees in the assessors office were so flip and sarcastic to the gentleman complaing about his Star exemption.

    ReplyDelete
  18. "crap" may not have been the most precise word, but after listening to Ray's three possible outcomes and his assumptions for each, I can see where McCabe would be fed up. They were Ray's opinions stated as gospel.

Concerning the gentleman complaing about his Star exemption, remember, you only heard one side of the story. I'm not saying he's right or wrong, but that you only heard one side.

  19. Lets be oerfectly clear about something : Ray Mooney, Ed Gilbert and all the others last night were there for one reason only! To disrupt the meeting, get in a few shots, and try their best to discredit Board members. They -( Mooney and his band of transplanted - quasi-Repooblicans) have NO CLASS , and have now resorted to this display of infantile behavior because they clearly are fully aware that a true slap down is coming again in November ! They deserve it and they have asked for it. Its easy to discredit those that support the fraudulent Republicans - they have NOTHING to campaign legitimatly about! Thye make up whatever suits the need, embellish and stretch little tidbits of information and try their damndest to slander sitting Board members. If thats the best you can do - Ray and Company: GO somewhere else - you've done ntohing more than keep the rest of us focused and more determined to trounce you in November- and we WILL!

  20. Gonna dismiss Dave Hancox with a shot about too many cookies, or how he talks?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hancox is only another retired state employee- his opinion is less valuable than yours.! s far as any of us know - he's possibly a lunatic!

    ReplyDelete
  22. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hey Pete....What do you have to say to your comrades? Thought you had some credibility. Will you dismiss Dave Hancox like Mike and Mike?

    ReplyDelete
  24. 11:57 Being "another retired state employee" I can hardly dismiss Dave Hancox as one.

However, I do have confidence in Comptroller Breig and his efforts to implement the UHY recommendations.

You are going to have to give Leg. Cristo a couple of day to dance around that HVVC issue. C'Mon Man....he didn't know!

  26. I have been coming to board meetings for the past three years. This year I have been on the fence as to who to vote for. After this past board meeting I finally have regained some respect for the CEO of our town, Supervisor McCabe. For the past few years especially, he and the board have allowed the continual rantings of individuals who go way over the allotted 5 minute public comment portion of the meeting, where 99% of the time these individuals have no real substance only to blatantly express insult after insult, always looking at the glass half empty, and one sided baseless accusations and conclusions. At times it literally turned into a circus. I do not believe this is the place for this. Why don't those individuals call any of these board members and set an appointment to discuss their concerns, but, instead choose a venue where there is an
audience?? Is that what turns them on? Is that their whole gig? When someone either on the deis or the public does say something positive, you can actually feel the disappointment from those who continually want to try and promote and instill negativity and disrespect for our leaders. It is very disappointing to see the opposing candidates supporting this kind of classless, ignorant behavior. I am glad that finally the Supervisor has fired back and I
encourage his team to follow the feeling that, "enough is enough" and you do not have to sit there looking so whimpy and allow to get continually pounded way beyond the 5 minute allotted time. Respect is something you earn and the Supervisor has now regained my respect totally by finally, finally, basically saying, "I'm sick of it and I'm not taking it any more!". I believe that the majority of residents share this same feeling of bringing decency and class back to the room where Mike VanVoorhis and Bob Angelini once sat and encouraged real discussion on real issues within a reasonable length of time or by appointment.

  27. Once again one of the kids on the other blog brings up the huuuge problem of no place to swim - to you I say HUH! I moved to this community for the school system many years ago. A place for my kids to swim was hardly a consideration. If it's that important to you join the Y or buy a pool. What a non-issue that is!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hey Don; NOBODY cares about Dave Hancox- he's your little slice of political rhetoric. We could care less about whomever you choose to pray to- your lucky that your foolish rANNts are posted here- more than any of us can say about the poeple YOU choose to support. They are afraid to post opposition commentary ! Facts are qualified in the eyes of each beholder - be careful about what YOU qualify as fact!

    ReplyDelete
  29. How many of you work for the town?

    ReplyDelete
  30. 1:39 I don't think you know the definition of a fact. Maybe Pete could help you with that.

  31. GEORGE - ABC-FEG-ST2October 21, 2011 7:48 PM

FACT: YOU GOT YOUR ASS HANDED TO YOU BY THREE DIFFERENT JUDGES IN YOUR FAILED LAWSUIT AGAINST THE TOWN!! How's that Donnie - ole boy !!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Looks like somebody put some burrs under somebody's saddle, I'd say. Can't you engage on an issue? Just out behind the backstop again, like that's the only thing you ever learned in grade school

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dear George....Again, we failed to prevail in our lawsuit on the issue of standing. But the process was very instructive. What we discovered was a propensity for the current administration to give away public assets (physical or monetary) to the connected. And that has been demonstrated and documented, and is the primary reason that Mr. DiNapoli has such a big headache.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 3:46, got one for ya.......how many of you work (period)?????? Is there an employed one among Any of you?????

    ReplyDelete
  35. 3:46: What difference does being a Town employee make? One doesn't need a laptop or desktop computer to access the internet anymore. One also gets work breaks. Thus Town empolyees can comment here or anywhere using their own equipment AND time.

11:16: What difference does whether or not one is employed make? Would you deny unemployed and retired persons the ability to express their opinions and concerns? Not my kind of democracy.

    For the record:

    - I'm "another retired state employee" and proud of it!

    - I'm an Alternate Member of the Planning Board (I'd say that makes me a Town employee) and proud of it!

    - I Chair the Citizens Fiscal Advisory Committee (non-compensated Committee) and proud of it!

The important thing is that I and the folks who comment here VOTE! And VOTE we will!

  36. 11:16 I have to work in NYC to afford to pay the taxes to support the town employees and their lifetime pension lottery. I have enough trouble trying to save for my own retirement let alone yours. I have lived and paid taxes in this town for 18 years. In that time my taxes have more than doubled, but not my pay. I can only hope McCabe is not re-elected because everyone knows he will retire and appoint one of the other board members, and then we will have another pension to fund. I think the town employees run this blog on town time.

  37. 1018 - I think your wrong ! Trying to link DiNapoli to EGB just doesn't mix Don....and quite franky - I truley don't believe she's-( your neighbor) connected to anyone - just a taxpayer like you , but obviously you don't like her , so she "must " be connected. The Supremem Court Magistrate clearly and simply admonished you for quite literally making things up that you couldn't substantiate!
My issue with ALOT of what the Cristo Taylor bunch seems to think is Gospel is this: they automatically think conspiracy about everything. They have got to be the most cynical and paranoid bunch I've ever had the displeasure of reading about.
I can't fathom for one moment that if even half of what they are alledging to be "FELONY" level crimes against the good people of East Greenbush had occured, why no one is in jail? Why has the Attorney General or the Office of Professional Standards, the State Comptroller not swooped in and carried off the entire Town workforce , who are guilty of just about every crime against humanity that could be imagined? Why no arrest or charges as of yet? And...you can stop the nonsense of " it's coming" and ..." someone is being carried off in handcuffs". We've all read the b-s threats from over there on the kool-aide blog.
EGB people simply don't believe you . Your guilty of stretching the truth to suit your needs and when no one buys into your dog and pony show - you complain that no one wants to engage you in facts !?! HUH?? C'mon man !! Opinions of what is factual and punishable are clearly different-( as the voters have clearly said!) !
Cristo is cearly un-electable-(fact). Taylor has had to have been thrown out of a bank as she was dismissed-(fact). Sheldon was allowed to resign rather than be terminated-(fact) . Gilbert needs to lean on his half-brother for recognition-(fact), and Fiacco would need to abstain from just as many votes as you all think Sue Mangold needs-( fact). And......Keith who??!!??
Sue's family clearly owns ALOT of property in EGB, and they PAY the taxes on each property. You nay-sayers should be thanking them rather than the continual bashing.

  38. 10:18 ALL New York municipalities and school districts, except for NYC, participate in the NYS Retirement System.

It has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with who holds local office or what party they are.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Mr. DiNapoli's ethical and political standards are being particularly challenged and pressured at this time. His office has been politicized since Mr. Hevesi held it. Political considerations drive audit engagements. Mr. DiNapoli's head would feel better if he did not have to worry about political friends being in jeopardy if his office engaged in East Greenbush to examine the issues which have been on OSC desks for quite a while now. It's not like they have audited the material. They haven't acknowledged the reciept of it. And that's the rub. Seems to me that they just might think it's quite serious. Given material which has been addressed in other municipalities and reported on, what we have here cannot be ignored. Read the OSC report on Bolton. If you think political considerations don’t drive government decisions, think about the 4th lane we WON’T have on Rt. 4 in front of the FEDEX entrance.

EG Talks values a person's ideas not they're grammar. I truley hope your not teaching third graders to be so judgmental. Tolerance and acceptance would be better virtues.

Surley you've heard a gazilliontrillion times that exaggeration for the sake of emphasis isn't affective.

Thank you for demonstrating that an education doesn't make a person smarter or better except in they're own insecure mind.

  42. Third Grade English TeacherOctober 23, 2011 8:35 AM

Hey - your entire blog is based on the premise of being judgmental. One idiot after another comes on here making crude and/or outlandish comments regarding other people (many or most of these claims are unsubstantiated).

I took it easy on the dolt who posted at 4:36 pm. Go through that comment. I dare you to tell me that you are unable to find at least another half-dozen head scratching English language atrocities. Why not expect a little more from those people (the very ones trying to come off as the biggest smart-asses)? Should perfection be expected? No. Perhaps just basic Fourth Grade competency should be expected.

But you are not alone. The writing on that other idiot blog is just as bad. Did you see how, the other day, someone over there spelled "majesty"? It defies description.

Maybe I should have commented over there. But like you say, they probably would not post it over there. I guess 4:36 pm just pushed me over the edge.

I'm fairly new to the reading of these blogs. And likely I am very done with reading these blogs. It screws with the brain's circuitry. Good luck to each set of simpletons.

I sense a great deal of anger and bitterness.

  44. I've heard on good authority that E. Chris DeFruscio's plan is to try and get Langley, Fiacco & Gilbert elected so he can step in and take over with Cristo & Taylor at his side. E's thinking is if Langley gets elected, the first day he starts the job Langley won't know which end is up. In steps Cristo saying how experienced he is as a former Board member. "I'll tell you what to do..as will my partner Ann Taylor, having served the town...you can trust our judgement".

Then, the 3 malcontents will try to determine how the town is run, all the while convincing Langley that everything their doing is in his best interest and for the good of the town.

Well, I know Cristo well enough to know it's all about Mike and what he wants. Cristo can't get elected in town, so he wants to control who is elected.

We see right through you Mikey...

    See you November 8th.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Cristo and Defruscio couldn't manage a used car auction - people expect them to be able to handle the day to day business of East Greenbush ? That's actually laughable !!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Annie's smoking dope again boys..... You people just HAVE to have this election about Cristo/Taylor. The day to day business of EG in other hands saves mega cash for the taxpayer - snaps the lid on the cookiejar.

  47. Once they get going on a lie over there they just can't stop themselves. Toni was not disrespectful to anyone at the meeting. She knows how to treat seniors and Children!

It's no wonder nobody outside your own circle can stand you..if you are a liar...other bad qualities are right there too.

It will be my pleasure to vote for all of the Democrats and my friends will be happy to do so also.

Hopefully the third time is a charm...once you lose this time please get the message that your kind of politics is not welcome.

  48. Michael Cristo said... BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

"How Ray Mooney, the elderly gentleman, … and others, should never be stifled at a public meeting in a forum designed for them to openly express their discontent with the administration

Rick McCabe telling Ray Mooney to sit down, Toni Murphy telling a senior citizen to sit down, by what right?"

The elderly gentleman was not "stifled" at the meeting.

Rick McCabe DID NOT tell Ray Mooney to sit down. I believe the Supervisor asked Ray to move along or something to that effect, but he definitely DID NOT tell Ray to sit down.

Toni Murphy DID NOT tell ANY senior citizen to sit down! NEWS FLASH for ya, Mike. The elderly gentleman who spoke prior to Ray, if he is the "senior citizen" you refer to, WAS SEATED during his presentation.

Michael Cristo said... BLAH, LIES, BLAH, LIES, BLAH!!! What an embarrassment!

Cristo wasn't even at the meeting … ditto rANNt. If they're soooooo concerned about the goings on in Town Hall, why are they tooooo busy to even show up?

They'd rather send their lackeys to report back and then preach about things they know absolutely nothing about.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Toni spoke to the senior citizen before the meeting cause she knows him and is a friend, he has no problem with her just ask him.

    ReplyDelete
  50. They will say anything to make Tonil look bad we all know the Cristo lie, Rose worked for Toni for years she knows it's not true!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Classic Ann Taylor - she has NO CHOICE but to level unsubstantiatedattacks at Toni Murphy. Corine has no credibility , no experience, and has lied to the general public, just like ANN !!

Once again : Keith who ??!?
    Ed who ?!??
    Corine who ??!?

as for Fiacco - nice guy - NO experience , will end up following Cristos orders because that's exactly what Denfruscion and Christo want.

    ReplyDelete
  52. They may think Fiacco will follow orders...little do they know.....

    ReplyDelete
  53. Linda Kennedy, the building dept and water dept all work the same hours as Toni, how come that's never mentioned on the CT blog. linda leaves 3:30 every day and still has a hour for lunch, how bout that, they will say anything to make Toni look bad. Mikey would be so happy if Toni lost and mommy could have her job back.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Rosie's friend - while I appreciate your willingness to defend Toni, let's face it - Linda, Toni, and the entire Town Board is doing a good job. Cristo and Taylor want to try and get us to sling mud and go negative to try and divide us.

Crist and Taylor haven't accompished anything for the town and their whining and altering of facts to suit their needs hasn't worked in the past and will fail them again this year.

Republicans, Democrats, Indenpendents, Conservatives and Working Family.....let's band together and send Cristo/Taylor a message: Keep Your Negativity and Lies to Yourself.....and take a hike!

  55. Hold on there, Lloyd. Cristo rammed through the unneeded Noise Ordinance.

Talk about IRONY!!!! That's all Cristo, Ann and their ilk are. NOISE!
