The Ethics Board

"Ed Gilbert is the embodiment of everything that's wrong with East Greenbush right now, and the fact that he's the Chairman of the Ethics Board is too much to bear. Gilbert's implantation on the EB is Langley's way of showing his disdain for the board. Just something else to add to the list of reasons why we won't vote to re-elect Keith (Mr. Miserable) Langley."

The above was a post on the Gadfly.   Many feel exactly the same way.

The Ethics Board was designed to enforce the rules of conduct that employees of East Greenbush must follow.

With  Keith Langley appointing Ed Gilbert to the chairman post, he basically rendered it useless and it has become pretty much a joke.

Your thoughts on the Ethics Board are important.   It is said Langley is obsessed with reading the blogs , so  if your  thoughts are kept to the point and they are relevant,  we'll post them !

With tomorrow being the day the siting Board announces the plan for the Casino site, this will take a back seat temporarily, but it is important none the less .

  2. Nice going there Putz...just found out the Crisp Canoli is closing December 24th.!

Instead of catering to the Casino, Putz and Chumplee should have been courting business opportunities for 9&20.

Another vacant store front in East Greenbush !

Not good Langley - not good at all !

  3. Dear IHL---could not agree with you more! Langley should be courting businesses to EG, especially 9&20. Unfortunately he has NOT A CLUE how to do it and would rather spend his time following 2 or 3 residents around than learn how to bring business to a community. Honest to God, he is such a waste of $70k/yr.

    1. I agree with CG. Langley should be out courting businesses instead of plastering his photo all over the Town's website. Time for "Casino" Keith to take a good look at himself (and his very good frend, C. Def) in the mirror.

  6. The fact that for almost a year now the residents of this town have been pleading to have Ed removed from the Board of Ethics, and chairman none-the-less, speaks volumes about our "leader", Supervisor Langley. The Times Union themselves had enough of Ed, almost an entire July board meeting was filled with a public comment session regarding the inappropriateness of Ed being even associated with our Town Hall. He has publicly belittled the residents of our town in front of us, on childish blogs, and in town meetings, and our Supervisor has done NOTHING. It would be almost comical if it weren't so sad that this is our Ethics Chairman.

  7. Bonnie K--Supervisor Langley DID do something regarding Ed's behavior. Supervisor Langley condoned Ed's behavior. By allowing Ed to maintain his position as Deputy Supervisor for the months following his filthy blogs and allowing Ed to maintain his position as Chairman of the Ethics Committee Supervisor Langley condoned Ed's behavior and comments. Supervisor Langley cannot claim a nescience to Ed's behavior because, as you stated, the July board meeting was filled with a public comment session regarding the inappropriateness of Ed even being associated with our Town Hall which means Supervisor Langley was made aware and STILL did not admonish Ed and allowed Ed to maintain his appointed positions. Supervisor Langley DID do something about Ed--he condoned his activities and comments.
I do not recall a Deputy Supervisor, in the past, so insolent to the EG residents. Dean Kennedy was, at one point, our Town's Deputy Supervisor and he was a courteous man to residents during public meetings and did not pen such deplorable comments regarding residents and their opinions.

  8. There is some other serious business before the board besides the casino debacle.
Langley and his rate hike proposals. Hiking the sewer and water rates is not the solution to the problem. Keith has had three full years to make other proposals to the towns financial woes, yet he has done nothing positive in these regards ! Rather, Defruscio, Gilbert,Mulvey and Tirino have all wasted taxpayer dollars defending their inaction and Gilbert has done absolutely nothing except slander board members and taxpayers who disagree with him and Casino Keith !

All of this foolishness was either endorsed or ordered directly by E. Christopher Defruscio- Chairman of the Republican Party !

We all deserve better. We all deserve accountability and a very open, transparent financial solution plan. We all need to say bye-bye the Casino Keith and Chumplee Defruscio !

Maryann Matters has the singular ability to accomplish ALOT of healing this next few weeks. It has been suggested that she could do alot to "right the ship" if she truly has the best interests of East Greenbush at heart !

It'll be interesting to see if MAM is really all about not following the demands of SWF. She walked away , but did she really ?

If in fact she decides to attempt to salvage her political future, only good things can happen for the taxpayers of East Greenbush.

      Maryann , are you reading/listening?

Guess you counted your chickens before they were hatched, Corellis; I'm sure the champagne was to celebrate the new EG Casino; ha ha you got fooled! EG didn't have a chance in the first place; too many hands in the cookie jar, all thinking they were going to become "wealthier" than they already are! Oh well....Poop Happens!! How many more days til November (election day), 2015. Then ANTINY; Champagne will be on the house; a BIG party will be had for all you LOSERS; Bye Bye! with a turtle wave. We'll be fa la la-ing around that Christmas Tree next year, PUTZ.

Putz, how come Dan Dwyer and ALL of the mayors/Supervisors will show their face on TV and you give a comment? Are you that much of a recluse? Definitely NOT a people person; you always want to hide! Dwyer, Mahan, NG Supe; they all get interviewed or will comment while you HIDE. We know your getting pudgy; but come on; be a man and how your face. I'm sure there are people that live in town and don't even know who the SUPERVISOR is; all they know is we're getting screwed. Thank you very much.

    1. Instead that arrogant man decided at the beginning of last nights meeting to read a letter that said what great of a job himself and the rest of the board have been doing!!!!! Between him and Gilbert, they somehow find away to amaze me. They both will do a lot better if they just close their mouths.

    2. Well, everyone has to pat themselves on the back now and then. I'm sure the putz or Gilbert wrote that letter. No one can stand either one of them, so they had to have a little "pat on the back" session. Its OK. One more year; it may seem like a long time to many many people; BUT rest assure you will have your "moment of glory" EG Town Residents; we'll all be able meet and greet to new Supervisor on January 1st, 2016. Champagne by the Cases.

      sincere apologies to Don Johnson.

      following is the intended post

Anon, it wasn't Don Johnson who "caused this town to be totally divided and friend hating friend" but Stupervisor Langlost and his dysfunctional advisors trying to put one over on the people of EG!
