  2. I would like to remind ALL candidates that abuses with Political signage irks people/voters more than you know.

Take control and take responsibility of where your campaign signs are placed !

  3. Its the same every election year. Republican abuse of campaign signs !

Its tolerated every single election year.

The building inspector needs to take control !

    like that will happen

  4. The building inspector knows which signs are not legally placed, he should remove them He shouldn't need to be asked. They are all over town.

    2. Joe C is a useless building inspector. You can do the work for him, investigate zoning law violations, have explicit proof along with the actual zoning law they are breaking and he will do nothing. After you harass him enough times he'll send someone "investigate" who si ply leaves a not on the person who is in violation to contact the office and thats it...true story. He is overpaid fir a job he refuses to do properly.

  8. Ouur candidates need to be respectful, especially when thinking about posting sign on public property. We have seen through Langley's term he doesn't understand or can't read the law, so it's no surprise his signs are all over public property. When it comes to peivate party, the owners can srgue the first amendment and won't be challenged.

    1. This is all typical of Red and Chris. They've been abusing the sign ordinances for years.
Who is going to do anything about it? Their cousin , the Building Inspector ? HAH !

  11. This in response to some Gadfly comments, but DJ refuses to print it.
You are spot on with that analysis. MAM was all for the casino til she decided it was TOO SMALL! She didn't realize, like the rest of us that it was totally wrong for the town, she said IT WASN"T BIG ENOUGH for the neighborhood. What is it with this adoration of this woman? It just goes to show, some people do not care what is right, as long as it is against certain people. She and her cohort, have cost this town many dollars with their stonewalling...but you refuse to acknowledge it. She sits up there and says there is not a problem with the DPW, when it is blatantly obvious that there is. She votes no on resolutions to pay contractors, costing us more money, but you people refuse to see it. She actually stated the other night, that the town has "plenty of money to pay attorney's to fight already settled grievances, but you refuse to acknowledge it. The town attorney recommended settling the issues but she knows better, I guess. Wake up people!

    1. Why do you think DiMartino and Matters are knocking doors for Poorman? They are looking for the third vote to put the screws to our town and keep that useless idiot Corellis in a job.

    2. STONEWALL??? they are NOT provided w the accurate information that's prudent to make informed decisions & we can blame the lack of leadership for good ole Langley on these issues... Wake up people it's not MAM or Deb that's the problem it's LANGLEY.

    3. DiMartino and Matters are knocking doors for Poorman to get rid of Langlost and you can't blame them for that!

  13. You can't make this stuff up folks. Poorman's latest is of course is his constant negativity towards Dave, but now he is telling folks that his guy is not doing the job as DPW Commissioner in an attempt to garner support from the DPW work force that he slams all over town.

That's right people, Corellis is building and putting signs up all over town for Poorman and Poorman is tearing him up behind his back. Poorman comes across as your best friend face to face then stabs you in the back the moment he gets what he wants. He is someone to stay clear of,especially with his anger issues. Probably not all that safe of a person to be around.

Not sure why he bothered stopping at my house, me being a known Dave supporter, very abnormal behavior.

  14. People might want to check the beverage specials at the local supermarkets. Prices are far cheaper at Price Chopper than Beer Belly Bob's the Poorman lover.

  15. another day, another post that Don won't post on gadfly, because it doesn't fit into his agenda. I just simply asked, what big time machine wheeler dealers chose the Dem slate of candidates this year. He flat out says people who were behind the casino deal were integral in choosing them, which is totally false. Pete,Dave and Andrea actually went against what some wanted, when they refused to go along with "the deal". Don also says the big wigs are doing back door deals for the Dem candidates. Who are they Don? You spew this nonsense all the time, lets hear what you have. You won't even print the question.

  20. Meaghan Hart is collecting donations for a school lunch box drive which is a lunch box filled with school supplies for children in need. She was hoping to have 100 to donate, but so far has only received funds to donate 25. Meaghan and others will be available tomorrow at the Town Festival to accept donations for this good cause. I know that the blogs gravitate towards politics and complaints about this one or that one, but here is a chance to show the people who participate in these blogs have a heart and care about the children in need in East Greenbush. I am aware that there are residents having a hard time and will not be able to participate, but there are a large number of people who can donate $20 without any hardship.

Let's help get a positive result to this fundraiser. It's about the kids , not politics. I will be donating and I hope others will also. I can only assume that the poor participation from our normally generous community is that people are unaware of this fundraiser.

    Thank you!

  22. Poorman turned a family event into a self serving political side show for himself at our annual Saturday in the park today. This display of arrogance is unacceptable. Poorman has no place in our town government, nor does DiMartino, Matters, and Corellis who all participated in the despicable display.

    1. Its that little arrogant guy wearing the baseball cap- MIKE POORMAN...

      WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ?

The man is WRONG for East Greenbush !

  23. Jessica Lansing who organized the Saturday in the Park function should be ashamed of herself for allowing Mike Poorman to turn this event into a political circus. What an insult to our town.

    ReplyDelete
  24. While I am not a supporter of Mike Poorman I think that he got a pretty big slap in the face for being located BEHIND the concrete building In the gated area of the park. You couldn't even see his booth when you walked in. So who's responsible for that? Jessica Lansing? Even if he wanted to campaign no one could see him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anonymous 1:35 Your comment is unfair. Jessica Lansing works her butt off for the residents of this town, as do others. Jessica has put together a nice family event for the residents of this town to enjoy. She can't be held accountable for the actions of others ,whether it's you, me, or anyone else. Politics in this town always get carried away and innocent people are used as pawns. If you or anyone has a problem with anyone elses behavior, try addressing that person.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Today's event should have been called "Politicians in the Park". What a pathetic display of B~S. None of them should have been allowed to set up camp or even allowed in for that matter. Absolute bad event planning with Poorman being the worst offender.

    1. Ya just gotta be a little leary of a guy who walks around everywhere with his baseball cap pulled down to his glasses. He sneers out the side of his mouth and backstabs his political opponents at every turn.

He was a do-nothing the last time we were stuck with him and by the looks and sounds of things , NOTHING has changed.

POORMAN is a HUGE mistake. We do NOT need another arrogant , empty suit in Town Hall.

The mere fact that he has been pointedly asked about his brother in-laws double dipping and he has NO firm response is very telling. Very telling indeed !

  27. 1:35 it is you who should be ashamed. You took a wonderful day and turned it into a game of petty politics. Our town rarely has an event that brings our community together and today Jessica successfully pulled off a wonderful community event, which is far and few in EG. She allowed all candidates to be there and explained to all that overt campaigning is not allowed. These are grown men who are responsible for their own actions, shame on you for trying to tarnish Jessica's name and associate it with this political garbage.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Sad that Jessica was put in the middle of Poorman's obvious display of self serving arrogance. Unfortunately Poorman didn't care about how his actions would reflect on Jessica and her commitment to her job.

Poorman and his little group of thugs are all about themselves, NOT our town. Anyone that gets near Poorman gets used and tarnished. Jessica Lansing did a great job organizing the festival despite the disgusting behavior displayed by Poorman, Corellis's, DiMartino's, and Councilperson Matters.

  28. Who's the Biggest Looser?September 01, 2015 10:58 AM

Don't go blaming Jessica or anyone for their ignorance at Saturday in the Park; it was a great day, enjoyed by many families. Years ago, Cristo, Taylor and Defruscio tried pulling the same stunt by putting signs out while selling fried dough; YES the Youth Dept. staff put an end to that in seconds; there are always going to be idiots that think they can get away with whatever. The bottom line is: People that see stuff like this going on are going to vote for the opposite party; Good Luck Dave and Jack; I'm sure people already know which of you 2 they want as Supervisor VanWormer or Supervisor Conway; you didn't make an ass of yourselves and you kept a clean campaign so far; so Good Luck to the Two You!! As long as Correllis is on HIS side and their minion of jack asses; you 2 have got it made in the shade. Langley; he's the biggest loser; then comes Poorman; so no need to worry.
