  5. Clearly all those illegal signs littering every intersection-( again, illegally) did nothing . But then again Defruscio and Guynup don't know any other way- they've been pulling that stunt for years. People might be gettin g tired of your antics Chris , did that thought ever cross your mind?

    ReplyDelete
  6. It wasn't Defruscio and Guynup that did the signs, it was all Mulvey!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I would hope the Building Department takes ALL of the illegal ones down. What a total disgrace he is !
Especially after all the b*tching the Repubs did last year and the year before....turnabout is fair play !

  8. You may file you complaints accordingly with the building department- all of you !

  9. The Building Department didn't do anything about the trailer with the defeated judge's sign on it on 9/20, and they knew about it and know it is illegal.

  10. What about that huge truck with the huge sign for the guy running on the Democratic line for Judge -- LaQuidara -- that was illegal too but nobody did anything about that -- you guys are hypocrites. He didn't win either.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The big sign was determined not illegal !

  12. A Mangold Construction truck with a huge Donnelly sign rode all around Holy Spirit school on primary day. Holy Spirit school is a polling place.

At the August town board meeting comments were made about Mulvey campaigning at the Music in the Park events.

Neither is illegal; both are unseemly

    1. I'm glad that truck did, because last year , the very house right next door was littered with Langley, Gilbert and Fiacco signs , well within the 500' stay back....so really, who cares - Defruscio and Guynup violate every sign ordinance rule and regulation every single year - one good turn deserves another - eh !??!

  13. You guys need to get a job like SM. A do nothing kind of job; one in which you make your own hours. Blah, Blah, Blah.
Laquidara didn't win - but wait til Nov. He'll kick
b... You guys act like a bunch of kindergarteners; oh mommy so and so was picking on me! What do I do now?
Get a life. In the end, it will all work out.

  14. If it's true that Keith Langley and Rick McCabe have decided to work together for the benefit of the town, I want to congratulate them.

I have every confidence that they will be able to solve some of the issues we all face. Instead of the constant whining and complaining we hear from the Gadflies, we need to support and offer encouragement to Keith and Rick. Go for it guys!

  15. I pity the fools that stand in the way of Langley and McCabe!

  16. As a long time Democrat, someone who attends town board meetings and frequently reads the blogs, I would like to suggest who I would like to see run along side Ginny O'Brien in 2013. That person is Jack Conway. He is extremely intelligent, dedicated, and able to think outside the box. Jack also has shown an ability to take on Ray, Don and Dwight all at once and make them look intellectually lacking. Jack has a firm grasp of what it would take to help us move forward, is well liked, and is more than capable.

The only problem I see is getting Jack to give up time with his grandbaby the serve the residents of this town!

  17. Love watching them squirm over on the drunk blog! STBU - anxiety has clearly set in - LMAO !!!!

  18. Definitely good luck to Keith and Rick! What a Team.
Hopefully the negativity that is at that Town Hall will be gone.

To those of you who work there and are against the new Supervisor and his staff, get a life. Welcome him, don't make his life any more difficult than it is. Running a Town is not easy. Many of you Dems made sure Rick McCabe did not win; now you're hoping Keith Langley fails - get over yourselves and get a life.

The DPW also did a terrific job cutting and clearing up the debris caused by the fallen tree onto Hampton Avenue. They handled what could have been a difficult situation with the highest degree of professionalism and skill.

Perhaps they could be featured in a "lumberjack" exhibition during next year's program.

  27. What is wrong with the Gadflies? They never have anything good to say.

I attended Saturday in the Park. A nice time for all. Several Board members were there, including Supervisor Langley, demonstrating their community involvement. I was there for 4 hours and didn't see 1 Gadfly. Was it too much for them to see people happy, having a good time?

All you ever hear is politicians need to work together for the good of the people. Bi-Partisanship it's called.

Supervisor Langley and Rick McCabe are willing to cross party lines to work together for the benefit of all of us. The Gadflies, on the other hand, want to attack Langley and McCabe because they can't control them and dictate policy. Tough sh_t for Ray, Don and Dwight. Grow up and put yourself out there - run for office where you will be under the microscope. Oh.....that's right....who would vote for any of you? No one I know!

Oh, by the way....Mooney and Crew complain about name calling, yet post a comment calling the town Maneyville and FAT Pat ran the town. Ray, try looking in the mirror - if you have one big enough.

  34. Exactly whats wrong with the world today? Republicans fighting amongst themselves, the Democratic party not speaking to one another. Is politics the bee all to end all? What happened to friendships and people coming together for the betterment of the community. Ed Witko died - tons of people came together; Grace Maney passed; the outpouring was amazing; people are good and kind and generous. What about these political parties? Is it all about the money, the power and the glory that goes with always winning, proving a point.

Think about the good things in your life, your family; the hardships you've endured and overcome; the true one or two friends that you've made in your lifetime. I say one or two because if we have made one or two friends that we can trust then we're blessed.

I have seen so much pain and suffering emotionally within the two parties - isn't it time we unite and become "one." We are all living in this community and need to participate for the betterment of the town, the good will among people. We need to respect Supervisor Langley and the Board. When will the animosity and hatred end? Ask yourself that question? Be greatful for each and every day you wake up especially if you are healthy and happy.

God Bless; hope this wakes up some of you up and you appreciate people from your past and those that may enter your future.

  36. Sounds great 9;00 - but unfortunately Don Johnson feeds off the anger and hatred he brews. You'd faint if you knew or saw some of the e-mails he's sent to the Audit firms attempting to influence the outcome of the independent audits of Town Finance. Why do you think so many people shun Johnsons opinion - don't pay attention to his ridiculous newspaper interviews or television ads? Its all staged and pointed toward a false opinion. He breeds corruption amongst his own followers.
Anyone who signs their name to any post or opinion which is contrary to Don Johnson automatically dooms themselves to endless bullsh*t from the gadflies and e-mails to your boss threatening your job and paycheck. Johnson thinks he's above everyone - too bad his worst enemy is the very man staring back at him in the mirror each day !

  41. In reply to the Gadflies reponse as to why there are not businesses on Columbia Tpk.? Since Target and Home Depot opened that area does seem to be the "hot spot" where people seem to be doing very well. At the same time, what world are you people living in? How many of your friends and family members are without jobs? If they get jobs, some of the are probably working for ten bucks an hour. The economy sucks. People are not going out and pissing their money away on frivilous things. Big businesses are closing, restaurants, clothing chains. Its not only on Columbia Turnpike - its Clifton Park, Latham, Schenectady - its all over. There will come a time when businesses are booming again and will be want spaces on the Turnpike. How many Pizza places are closing; Fashion Bug chains are closing; Burger King, McDonald's. After awhile, something has to give; so wake up; what world do you live in? People are holding on to their money.

Johnson and his band of merry idiots could care less about anything except continually bashing mcCabe and the dems. I know I sound like a broken record but the facts are the facts and Johnson can only attempt to slander and influence thru his constant interference and meddling into Town Business.
Perfect example: Dons numerous e-mails to the TOSKI firm and his demands from the NYS Auditors that he and he alone be informed of the results of the audits prior to Town officials! When Johnson doesn't get his way, he writes e-mails to peoples bosses in an attempt to discredit and blame for things he CANNOT prove.
Johnson and his very few supporters are determined to bash away at OBrien,Malone and Mangold until the cows come home because Don doesn't like them. He cares little for the truth, in fact he often ignores it to his benefit !

  42. You guys go on and on about Johnson writing to this one and that one. I was one of over 50 people who signed a letter that went to OSC about the shenanigans in East Greenbush and I can tell you the letter did not originate with him.
You guys remind me of the woman newscaster who was bullied by an anonymous viewer who said she was too fat and a bad role model for young women. I'm sure a lot of you must have seen something about this on the local news. Remember what she said? Only bullies and people who will not own up to what they say would send her such crap. You are the same. You vilify people behind a screen of anonymity and talk a big talk. In the end, if you were made to back up what you say -- you couldn't do it.

Why don't these people run for town board, state their names, come in and talk to Supervisor Langley; make an appointment to meet with councilpersons Malone, O'Brien, Mangold, and Matters. Its easier to just write your feelings. The blogs are pointless; a piece of trash whereby they can state how they feel, who they hate; why the Town is run this way. BUT too chicken to state their names; whats the point of these blogs anyway? Nothing will get done through this nonsense of writing; it just makes YOU feel better that you bullied & hurt other people's feelings.

  44. It has come to my attention that an anonymous person on Talks has decided once again to make personal attacks on the blog – the latest being something about letters to OSC and the Toski audit firm. My response is this - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PUBLISH, PUBLISH, PUBLISH!! And to echo whoever my friend is above, also publish the attachments to the letters you refer to. It is no secret at all that East Greenbush citizens have communicated with governmental entities regarding mischief in EG government. Perhaps we could make a package of all the materials available at the Library or Town Hall.

Those of us who have communicated with oversight and audit authorities have been concerned about ONE THING – that the matters of concern in financial management in East Greenbush be subjected to audit under the Professional Standards applicable to Government and Independent Audits. This means that these materials be included in the Scope of an Audit. There is nothing secret about this concern, in fact the more public awareness about it, the better. Our concern is that there have been some very active efforts to keep these matters OUT of any Audit Scope and thereby not subject to review under the Standards.

“Ya doesn’t” (above) appears to be unaware of a letter sent to OSC from “Concerned Citizens of East Greenbush” signed by over 50 East Greenbush taxpayers. I didn’t write it, but I signed it. And I helped to gather some of the signatures. The content (as I recall) was related to (1) a recitation of questionable financial management issues in East Greenbush, and (2) a strong urging of OSC to include these matters in the Scope of its impending Audit of the Town. I believe that the letter was sent to Mr. Jeff Leonard at OSC in Glens Falls in November of 2011. “Ya doesn’t” should feel free to FOIL it and publish that one too.

Once again, to be clear…..what we have asked for is that some financial “management” activities in East Greenbush that a whole lot of people know about, be examined under the professional standards required by Independent and Government audits by including them in the audit scope. No one has made any demand whatsoever concerning what a related “finding” should be. That’s up to the professional auditor. We also believe that any properly executed risk assessment related to developing an audit scope would require that the matters we have raised be included in such a scope. The matters are plain, transparent and obvious. To exclude them from an Audit Scope raises the yet to be answered question of WHY?

    Don Johnson

  45. Big Deal Don ; you wrote those e-mails and sent them and you NEVER thought in a million years that any of them would come back to you ! You shot your wad with the NYSP, the OSC and then attempted to influence and interfere with employees @ TOSKI and the State Auditors working at Town Hall. Your e-mails and correspondence are phenomenal pieces of fantasy literature !
Thats a FAR CRY from you simply voicing your worthless opinion of what YOU consider to be financial mischief at the Town Level. Obviously not one of those firms or agencies agrees with you - or are you too arrogant to admit that?
As far as the "letter" written with 50 signatures - my challenge to you is this : YOU PUT UP ! Obviously you are fully aware that I have direct knowledge of exactly what I'm talking about, I've leaked enough for you to know that I'm obviously telling the truth !

What you FAIL to mention is that you did not only ask for some financial management activities be examined, you outright accused people of crimes and demanded that the State Police take criminal actions. You and your crew of 3 other people were rebuffed by those who had oversight and even the District Attorney ignored all your ridiculous requests !
Go cry a river on your own time! Your foolish banter and ridiculous claims are without merit- ( sound familiar) and you have embellished ALL your facts and figures trying to make a case out of NOTHING ! Your attempts to improperly intervene in private audits speaks volumes of your anxiety and what will probably NOT support your point of view. You took several swings and you've struck out ! Stay on vacation - you need it ! The scope of the audits is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS - let the people and firms do their job without your INTENTIONAL and CONTINUAL interference.
You got bitch slapped by a sitting Supreme Court judge for exactly the very same thing, you obviously didn't learn. There's a country for people like you comrade- book a flight and be happy !
