Whats next ?

Well, apparently our Supervisor , and we use that term loosely,  has decided to throw Sean Mulvey into the CFAC.

Question:  WHY?

Why place someone you terminated from the financial directors position less than two years ago, into a position that actually  requires some knowledge of finances and budgeting?

Please explain yourself Mr. Langley,  inquiring minds and taxpayers deserve to know !

Ed Gilbert running interference on the Ethics Board and  Sean Mulvey now  planted intentionally on the  CFAC !  Not  good Keith,  not  good at all !

  1. Mulvey destroyed the finance office while he was there. He screwed up the paycheck system and did absolutely nothing but cause anger and resentment throughout Town Hall...... what a disgrace !

    1. Don't forget to ask East Greenbush Republican Party Treasurer, Sean Mulvey, about the missing and delinquent Financial Disclosure Reports with the NYS Board of Elections. According to the latest Board of Election data, Republican Treasurer Mulvey's Committee is over $7,900 dollars in the red. Just the type of person you would want to appoint to CFAC.
Not good, Mr. Langley, not good at all...

  2. I like Sean more than you guys but even if you lack confidence in him there's no cause for worry. Having Maura Ryan, Andrea Smyth, Michelle LeClair and Rich Hendricks makes that a powerhouse committee no matter who the fifth appointee turned out to be. Anyone trying to run interference with those four will get steamrolled. CFAC is up and running and that's a positive development. I worked with Maura Ryan on a few projects this year and she's so smart, so professional, and such a hard worker. I learned to just get out of her way because I couldn't keep up with her. I have great hopes for that committee.

    1. Jack ; I really hope your correct!
I however, cannot be as optimistic as you.
I worked in Town Hall when Mulvey was there. He's a complete a-hole with little or no knowledge of how government is supposed to function.
Mulvey is arrogant and incompetent. A very dangerous mix when you sit on a visible , public board.

    2. Jack,
If you really believe Sean Mulvey can be an effective member of the CFAC, I really must question your judgement. Mulvey has shown he is a petulant bully unable to work with others towards any common goal. Thankfully, it won't take the other members of the CFAC long to recognize this.

  3. HolySh*t ! How dysfunctional can the supervisor get? He absolutely hates Sean Mulvey. The exact words I belive he used are the "fat, blind piece of garbage". after firing him. What a puppet you are Keith.

  4. Langley appointed Megamouth Mulvey to the CFAC for revenge. He hates the CFAC and he hates anyone who supports it. He probably ordered Megamouth to be an obstructionist and a bully, which will be easy-peesy for him. Langley is just mean, bitter, and a real jerk but megamouth better watch out for Andrea Smythe. She'll chew him up and spit him out.

  5. Langley's base of support is so tiny and is futher diminishing on daily basis. Mulvey is DeFruscio's choice and since Langley doesn't have any other support, other than the Muffin Man, this is what we get.

  6. 10/14 at 2:44 pm--Keith called Sean that? He said those words out loud in reference to a resident and taxpayer? Regardless of liking Sean or not, Keith should never refer to a resident and taxpayer as such. Taxpayers pay Keith's salary.
Keith---Town Board Mtg tomorrow night--break out the navy blue blazer!

  7. Mr. Conway:
Please don't place yourself in the position of defending Sean Mulvey. I have the utmost respect for you and absolutely no respect for Mr. Mulvey. Mr. Mulvey is nothing but a DeFruscio political hack. You shouldn't lower yourself to his level.

  8. Doesn't Langley know any respectful or likeable people to appoint to government positions? And why won't he appoint any East Greenbush woman to anything? All the other Board members have no problem selecting East Greenbush women for important committees.
What's with Langley and East Greenbush women anyway?

    1. He plain doesn't like women and has no use for them in his life. It was obvious when I worked there.

  9. @ Jack Conway: I usually agree with you or at least understand where you are coming from but this Mulvey appointment is sure to poison the CFAC. Do you have any reason to think Mulvey will make a positive contribution? Why should talented volunteers who are offering their considerable expertise put up with Mulvey?
Make sure this, like the Gilbert appointment, is high on the list of Langley mistakes at election time. Langley put a baffoon on the Ethics and now he is putting a baffoon on CFAC. This is another way of silencing citizens, Langley is baffooning all the advisory committees.

  10. Sean isn’t a dumb person and did make positive contributions when we both served on the Town Finance Committee, CFAC’s predecessor.

Jack isn’t necessarily defending Sean but expressing his confidence in Maura Ryan, Andrea Smyth, Michelle LeClair and Rich Hendricks being able to get things done. I agree with Jack.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I hope Sean proves to be a valuable member of CFAC.

  11. Langley has nothing but contempt for citizen committees so he puts people on them who will cause problems. Langley does not support the Ethics Board or the CFAC. Consequently, the EB is sputtering along on it's last leg because of that loser and master blogger Gilbert. Such a shame.

  12. All I said was that I like Sean more than you guys and from the response so far that seems like a fair statement. I have had disagreements with Sean in the past but it never got personal and I like to judge people on my own experiences with them. I wasn't in Town Hall when he worked there. My main point is that he's not going to overpower the other four members of that committee because it's a really impressive group of people. You can like Langley or not, and I have disagreed with virtually everything he's done this year, but he gets to appoint someone to CFAC and if you've been paying attention you know there's only a tiny circle of insiders that he seems to trust. He and Sean may have had problems in the past but the Supervisor is clearly in re-election mode now so he's probably trying to mend fences. God knows he hasn't picked up many new supporters or widened his circle.

This isn't like the Board of Ethics because Gilbert is chairing that and Maura Ryan is chairing this. The difference between Ed and Maura is the difference between disaster and success. The town's finances are a mess and CFAC as currently constituted is in a good position to make a positive contribution. I wish them well.

  13. I understand where you're coming from, Jack. I wish them well, too. Actually, the bigger hurdle will be the Keith Langley/George Phillips alliance. George is a non-voting member of the CFAC but he can't participate if Langley won't let him. If Langley was smart,
he'd instruct George to use the CFAC to help him complete the puzzle of the finances. The problem is, Langley doesn't have a track record thus far for being that smart.

  14. @ 6:41 PM- It's also quite possible Langley/DeFruscio are planning on replacing George Phillips with Sean Mulvey in the Comptroller position. Maybe the 2nd time will be the charm for Langley/Mulvey? After all, Langley and Phillips looked like they were on the outs at the last preboard meeting.

  15. 10 p.m. Sorry, but you're 100% wrong. It's quite IMpossible that Langley will replace Phillips with Mulvey. Not gonna happen.

  16. Langley is a PUTZOctober 15, 2014 5:20 PM

Mulvey will self-destruct in short time. He will try - ( unsucessfully) to bully the CFAC members. He's in for a rude awakening. Once he realizes that he cannot control the members, he will quit !

  17. Langley actually thinks he's doing a great job.
No doubt, Defruscio,Gilbert,Tirino and Danaher are blowing sunshine up his a#* daily, so that kinda figures.
NEWS FLASH: Keith is dead meat in November 2015. He will almost for sure be primaried for the Republican line and that will end his disastrous career in politics.
If the Republican committee would simply delete Defruscio, they could salvage whats left of that party in Town.
Mis-management from Danaher and Rich Crist have led the Repubs down the toilet. The facade that they think people like them based upon Nov. 2014 is nothing but a pipe dream now. They are done in 2015 !

  18. Here's a sad fact. after almost three years as Supervisor, Keith Langley continues to demonstrate on a daily basis his unfitness to hold any position of responsibility.
    Vote NO Langley in 2015!!!!

  20. LANGLEY and CHUMPLEE are idiots !

  21. It was explained to me the other day how CHUMPLEE is actually stealing tax dollars. By having his dead-beat a** appointed as the court attendent, albeit illegally, he gets to sift at least $75 if not $100 per night that he loiters in the courtroom.
He does nothing while he's there and in reality clogs the front area preventing the real court attendents from doing their job.
So thats how CHUMPLEE is fleecing the tax payers of EG.

  22. The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.....so this is how Gilbert covers his DEMANDS blog and MATTERSS blog...he claims 1st amendment privilege....typical
