  3. My comment has nothing to do with this thread, but I just read the other blog and I must comment. Wouldn'it it be great to have Ann as Supervisor or better yet Receiver of Taxes, how comforting to have someone in either of those positions who has been fired from not one but two bank jobs?

  4. I'm reluctant to break into this "GREAT NEWS..." thread, but feel it important enough a topic to do so.

The "Unintentional Failure to Comply" provision of the recently adopted Town of East Greenbush Purchasing Policy has raised some eyebrows elsewhere.

This provision existed in the Town's prior Purchasing Policies, adopted on 1/14/04 and 1/9/08 and was initially copied from the NYS Office of the State Comptroller Division of Local Government and School Accountability publication entitled "Seeking Competition in Procurement".

A copy of this publication can be viewed at http://www.osc.state.ny.us/localgov/pubs/lgmg/seekingcompetition.pdf. The "Unintentional Failure to Comply" provision can be found on page 25.

EG: "The unintentional failure to comply with the provisions of General Municipal Law, section 104-b shall not be grounds to void action taken or give rise to a cause of action against the Town of East Greenbush or any officer or employee thereof."

OSC: "The unintentional failure to comply fully with the provisions of General Municipal Law, section 104-b shall not be grounds to void action taken or give rise to a cause of action against the (Insert name of the political subdivision or district) or any officer or employee thereof."
