The absolute QUEEN of MEAN

Well,  despite  the  pleadings of  my  co-bloggers...the  following  MUST be  set straight.

At a special Town Board meeting, the  Board acted to correct an over  20 year  mistake with specific regards to Officer  Edward Mianos  retirement account.  The  town had never  transferred  Miano over from NYS  Corrections  retirement  to the  NYS  Police and  Fire  Retirement,  thus  shorting  his  retirement  account significantly and  making it  virtually  impossible for him to  legally  retire  from service.

Apparently , Taylor  the  temper and her  pack of  wild  dogs  have  taken this  to mean - or at least they think and  want  people to believe  - that the  Town must be  up to something-  .........WRONG!!!

You   are  dead  wrong - AGAIN!!!     The action taken by the  Town Board was a  necessary  pre-cursor to action that the  STATE Legislature will take so that a  21 year  employee  can be made  whole  again and  retire  from Police  Service !        THATS'S  IT -  NOTHING MORE !!!!

There's also a  former NorthGreenbush Officer  who will benefit  from this  same  bill by the  Legislature!     There's  nothing   hidden  here !   That is the  ABSOLUTE  TRUTH!!!

And...if you think there's more to it  than that - PRINT IT-  but  there is NOTHING MORE TO IT  THAN THAT  .     Talk about  not  having a  life -  Ann-  go  plant  flowers,  bake a  cake  or  do something  constructive !!   Your  really  showing  how  completely  immature and incompetent you are!

  4. Calling Ann Taylor the Queen of Mean is actually kind of nice...in comparison to what most people call her.

I don't get what the Special Meeting thread is about....it was posted on the Town site. It's not like it was a big secret. I think Ann needs to get a job or something...one that requires her to work so she doesn't have so much time for this nonsense.

  5. 358 - its her outright insinuation that she believes something "underhanded" is being done! If you can't read that - your just as bad as her! Not everything the Board does has a political twist/slant . Reformers are like a disease and I agree with EGTalks- they all need to get a real life and leave the business of the Town to the people who can actually DO the business of the Town ! Ann is a true sh*t-stirrer and nothing more ! Just calling them the way I see her ! Giggle~giggle !

  7. The Northgreenbush Town Board is basically mirroring the EG Boards resolution. It is not part of the EG Board resolution. They too , apparently have a officer looking to retire that needs the same legislation.

  8. TALKS ; your right on the money with this post! She is trying her best to stir the pot. I posted over on her BS blog, knowing full well she'll never post it ! She hates the cops because Cristo hates them! The cops didn't back her two failed campaigns and she's pissed. Cristo calls the cops incompetent and imbeciles at a Town Board meeting and then wonders why they didn't back him or the reform party last year !? Go figure. She's flat-out pissed and her "poison-pen" speaks for itself !

She can't help herself anymore. Her temper over rules her tad bit of common sense.

I'm sure this will go on ALL summer right up to the November election. The woman has no life and thus nothing but time to fabricate more non-issues into fodder for her to write about and spin out into left field.

It seems like that is the creed of the reform party anyway - take a little non-issue, inject it with kool-aide and blame it on the dems and make it look and sound like a conspiracy. Blog about it endlessly and when your questioned, simply deny, deny, deny. They're like a broken record. Keep drinking the kool-aide people, the prozac is on back-order !

  12. I'm not sure there is enough Prozac in the great Northeast for Ann....there appears to be some real issue with her as far as mental health goes!

  13. Friends and neighbors: If I might attempt to provide a point of balance in this "discussion"...

Our town, and I would suspect other towns, often schedule special meetings. And a review of the agenda suggests to many people that these special meetings easily could have been a part of a normal Town Board agenda. That triggers what might be perfectly legitimate questions as to the real need for a special meeting.

These special meetings are held at unusual times. It might be argued that these unusual times are intended to exclude as much of the public as possible from attending. That, too, it seems to many of us triggers legitimate questions.

If the town is doing everything on the up and up special meetings held at inconvenient times that exclude public comment should, wouldn't one think, be pretty rare?

Attacking the questioner seems so petty and ineffective. It more tends to confirm that all this defensiveness is because there is something our friends and neighbors should be wondering about.

Last point - and thank you if you decide to post this - we have not just the right but the civic duty to question our elected officials.

She's more like a Bit** with an Itch...that will NEVER be satisfied! The woman is toxic.

  15. Here's another one for ya, from the queen of mean. Apparently, after the Attorney General, DA, State Police and everyone else have told her over and over that no laws have been broken in town, she has now gone to the FBI, in an attempt to disparage the Town Supervisor and Receiver of taxes. This woman will stop at nothing when it comes to trying to ruin the lives of these good people. What a vindictive, spoiled, arrogant narcissistic, envious, pathetic little person she is. Oh yeah, ditto for Napolean Christo

802am; special meetings are exactly that - special and because something needs to be addressed and potentially cannot wait for the regular Board meeting- such as this topic. The State Legislature has a very small window of opportunity to address this issue and the Town Board had a small amount of time to make the initial step in the process. There was/is nothing more than that.
I agree that questioning is your priviledge , but enough is enough already! The continual diatribe by Taylor and Cristo because they WANT everything that the Board does to appear to be improper and under-handed and sneeky! That fits the game plan designed by Cristo and Taylor and their merry band of followers.

They -( Cristo and Taylor) have done absolutely NOTHING positive or progressive for East Greenbush at all. They continually drag this town thru the mud and blame their mistakes on anyone and everyone else because they're both too ignorant and incompetent to accept the fact that NO ONE believes their continual line of B-S!

That - friends and neighbors is exactly what Ann Taylor and Mike Cristo are ALL about !

  18. Also, why do we care what Little Poison Pen has to say--she lost!!! Don't give her the publicity!

She went to the FBI about what? They have NO AUTHORITY to conduct anything. She only went there so she can blog about it and try to convince people that she is the " savior of the taxpayer" !

Taylor is a Pitiful excuse for a town resident / taxpayer.

All of East Greenbush should be made aware of her continual waste of energy and tax dollars defending her baseless accusations. She will never learn. When it all gets hot and heavy- just remember - TAYLOR and her ridiculous accusations started this entire mess. She deserves everything she gets over the next few months!

I luv to hate Taylor , but her latest attack on the Board and Officer Miano is the lowest point in her pathetic excuse for a life .

Ya know- we all keep it quiet about her being fired twice, and that one of those times was for apparently covering up an embezzlement. That's got to be part of the reason that she apparently knows so much about numbers - because she's used to manipulating them to her advantage ! A person with her past , both her public and private life are full of drama!! She obviously enjoys stirring the pot , so to all the candidates for 2011 - WATCH OUT ! Little miss poison pen is clearly looking for ammunition so she can spin it to her liking.

    Dear Shakespeare :

When you gonna stop being Momma's Boy and admit your part of ALL the problem issues you write about? huh?!? Your existence on the Town Board was to vote along with Danaher and Matters and APPROVE the budgets, which you did. You then attempt to say the stipends were/are illegal? If you were a Board member and voted "YES" on at least two if not three budgets, then arn't you culpable as well? Or are you just a hypocrit ? Inquiring minds want to know !!

It's been said numerous times here that you really have NOTHING...and it shows! Supposedly ANN went to the FBI !! For What?!? So she can blog about it and say that she did?!?! BIG DEAL?? Just like when Napoleon went to the State Police - they sent him packing as well !! Your morons - both of you ! Get a life - move to the Carolinas, move there together and leave your poor spouses some peace and quiet ! Ann - get a real job and a life ! Your past history of covering up improprieties in a banking institute speaks volumes of your character !

Timmy reads just fine - bottom line: there's nothing ILLEGAL- it has been printed and written that the practice is not recommended and/or frowned upon only because it was not specifically brought forth in resolution , rather in a budget line. As far as all the references above - ENOUGH - the issue is what it is, they were given out as was the practice of the Town for many, many years prior to the current administration!! Get over yourself ! NO ONE cares about all your references and foolishness. the stipends were stopped in 2008. Find something new to write about Don !

BTW : I read quite well and have moved on past this - you keep dredging it up - for what?? Pay your damn legal fees that you owe the Town and stop your incessant whining !! No one cares what you write anymore- anonymously or not !

Lets clear something up - ? - Board members mislead or board members that were incompetent and continue to deny accountability for their actions simply because its the vehicle they use to disparage the current administration?
You can throw around veiled threats all day long- bottom line Don - your washed up and no one gives a damn about what YOU think is important- including the FBI - Nice try but your all washed up and no one was smearing Matters - those are your words, just making it clear that pension padding is there over on your republican/reform side ! Pension padding goes both ways - get over yourself.

  44. I have tried to not read anything written by the losing team. I read above where Taylor and Cristo are taking anyone to task for disagreeing with their new slander campaign. I find it laughable that they both adamently say and repeat several times that they are not running for any town office, yet they are throwing insults and challenges like they're competing on "Who wants to be a Millionaire" !

If Mike Cristo's ego were any bigger - I believe his head would explode! Wow! Thank God the people of East Greenbush saw thru his series of cheesy garbage issues.

Mr. McCabe: I would seek a good lawyer and consider slander and libel charges against both Taylor and Cristo. They may not have authored the nasty entries on their blog, but they make no bones about the fact they tehy and only they, approve comments. I believe a good lawyer could address that quite competently and effectively.

For all the reasons that cristo was thrown off the Times Union blog, I believe that all that could be used against him again.

I'm told Don Johnson is the person who keeps inciting arguments on this blog , and then threatens libel and slander charges- I believe a good dose of their own medicine would suit that side quite well !

    ReplyDelete
  45. Dear 1:58 PM:

Rick McCabe is too smart for your suggestion and you very clearly know next to nothing about libel and slander.

And you are no better than those you criticize in attributing things to Don Johnson that you have no first hand knowledge of and are "told" by someone else.

Too much of what is wrong with this town is, in my opinion, directly linked to the blogs - all the blogs - this one included.

This blog justifies its evilness by claiming "they" (meaning C-T) did it first. That argument sounds like what is heard on a grammer school playground.

Reasonable people can disagree on both the cause of the problem and the solution to the problem. Let's allow each other that space and try, I mean really try, to leave the trash talk out between now and at least the November election.

I predict zero success - on all sides - for this suggestion. But if EG Talks does it first and the same logic you use to justify your trash talk filters over the the C-T blog maybe we, as a town, can show some progress.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 2:11 - GREAT SUGGESTION! LETS SEE IF THEY CAN PLAY BY THE SAME RULES !
ALLOW ME TO REMIND YOU THAT THE DEMS IN THIS TOWN TOOK TWO YEARS OF SLANDER AND SMACK TALK FOM THE BOY CRISTO ON THE TIMES UNION BLOG AND THEN ON HIS OWN BLOG AFTER THE TIMES UNION THREW HIM OFF.

PEOPLE CAN BLAME EGTALKS FOR WHATEVER THEY WANT. I AM ONE PERSON WHO WAS GLAD THAT THERE WAS SOME PLACE TO ANSWER ALL THE BOLD CLAIMS AND GARBAGE BEING AUTHORED BY THEM OVER THERE.

YOUR IDEA IS JUST THAT - AN IDEA.
TAYLOR WILL ALLOW ANYTHING TO PRINT ON HER BLOG - ESPECIALLY SOMETHING THAT EITHER MAKES FUN OF MCCABE AND OBRIEN, OR THAT MAKES HER LOOK LIKE THE CHAMPION OF LOST CAUSES!

AND - YOU GIVE WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT TO THE BLOGS. NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE READ THESE BLOGS.

YOU THINK THAT WHAT WAS WRITTEN ON THAT EGPRAYS DIDN'T INCITE ANGER AND HATRED? THAT GUY TALKED OPENLY ABOUT DOING PHYSICAL HARM TO SITTING POLITICIANS. HIS REFERENCES TO HUMAN BODY PARTS IN THE SAME LINE OF TALKING ABOUT MCCABE AND OBRIEN DIDN'T GO UN NOTICED EITHER.

EVILNESS IS CLEARLY IN THE EYE OF THE READER!

GO OVER THERE AND TRY TO GET THEM TO PLAY BY YOUR RULES - GOOD LUCK !

    ReplyDelete
  47. 2:11 - as I read over your post several times, something struck me about the people who support C&T. Up until EGTALKS was started, there was no way for people to question or voice disagreement with whatever propaganda was being put out by C&T and their group of supporters.
Once it was learned that there was a venue for taxpayers to vent their displeasure with the platform being put out by the reform party - ALL the issues started. Cristo can't handle anyone who disagree's with him, and although its really become a punch line for jokes, the "Taylor-temper" is infamous.
Cristo was thrown off the Times Union Blog , the dark egprays was formed and then finally the unites was opened. And still after all that, supporters of C&T still come here to start an argument and when one is given, they claim libel and slander.
Have you read the latest crap and garbage written over there? Talk about evilness and vile threats and slander!
Please tell me that you wrote the very same letter to them over there and they just have failed to publish it! Otherwise , you all get exactly what you dish out and write. The battle cry for keeping it civil goes BOTH WAYS .

  49. I think it's time everyone stops picking on poor Ann Taylor. How would you like to be an egotistical maniac who is unable to hold a job, unable to get elected and has a fear of the police?? You too would want to blame someone else for all of your shortcomings - so Ann blames the Democrats. Really, who could blame her for being jealous? They have power, they can get elected and accomplish things that Ann can only dream about.

Oh, and while we're at it, let's leave poor Mike Cristo alone. Here's a guywho has lost a number of friends and respect in the community, not to mention his loss of hair. He has gained something..but not to worry Mike, that can be taken care of by going to the gym or running with Ann.

Thanks for considering giving Mike and Ann a break.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ann Taylor doesn't care about how she is talked about, just as long as her name stays out there. Stipends....really, again? It is more than obvious that she doesn't care what people think or say about her just as long as it keeps going.

My perception of her is...she has failure in her personal life, her professional life, and in her political life. She just refuses to take the blame for any of it. Not saying it's true...just how me (and a lot of other people) see her. Let's face it...she will be talked about (not necessarily nicely) for as long as she can keep her name out there.

I do have to give Cristo credit...he always comes to her defense...as he should. He helped to get her to where she is today. The two of them just could not be honest, decent people. Mike has refused to take blame for anything that happened in this town while he was on the Board. If he really didn't know....his answer for every question asked in relation to that time...then he wasn't doing his job and shouldn't hold any Town position.

I know I would still like to see his list of accomplishments as a member of the Town Board. I know others would like to see this list also.

    ReplyDelete
  51. MIKE CRISTO ACCOMPLISHED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHILE HE WAS A SITTING TOWN BOARD MEMBER.
I MAKE A DIRECT CHALLENGE TO ANY REFORM PARTY FAITHFUL TO GIVE SPECIFIC EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY IF YOU CAN. HE VOTED ALONG PARTY LINES AND NOW BECAUSE IT APPARENTLY DOEN'T AGREE WITH HIS HATRED FOR THE DEMS, HE DENIES KNOWLEDGE AND INVOLVMENT! HOW CONVEINENT! PISS POOR EXCUSE FOR A POLITICIAN IS EXACTLY WHAT MIKE CRISTO IS !

    ReplyDelete
  52. George, I'll do that for Mike Cristo if you will do the same thing for Phil Malone. Phil Malone has done NOTHING. He, too, has voted along party lines, with the sole exception of his unexplained "No" vote on adding a staff member to our DPW crew. So, respond with your list of what Malone has done besides getting his mother appointed to a position in town hall.

    ReplyDelete
  53. CRISTO HAD THREE YEARS TO ACCOMPLISH NOTHING. MALONE HASN'T BEEN THERE A YEAR - AND IN CASE YOU DIDN'T REALIZE - THAT ROSE CRISTO WORKED IN TOWN HALL WHILE HER SONNY BOY WAS A TOWN BOARD MEMBER !!

    ReplyDelete
  54. George: Here's my take...

Mike Cristo brought out into the open the stipend issue. And in doing so he helped save the taxpayers around $150,000 - maybe a bit more.

    And before you push back...

If the stipends were the right thing to do and if they were done legally why did the Board end them? Why didn't the Board continue to do them and justify the spending to the voters? We all know the answers don't we? In the daylight of public scrutiny the stipends stink like week old fish.

Malone is a zero. He has done nothing. Nothing. Sue Mangold stepped up to the CFAC and, in my opinion, has done a pretty solid job.

We'll call the Rose Cristo, Joan Malone "Mommy" jobs a tie and call Malone's brother on the DPW the tie breaker.

I return to challenging you to identify what Phil Malone has done. Based on your response I am guessing you already know that the answer is that he has done not a thing. He did embarass himself at the opening of the CFAC meetings. He had to retract his comments and explain that, in light of the town's fiscal crisis, he was joking when he told the CFAC members that their role was to help him get re-elected. Immature? Probably.

By the way I do not think Mike Cristo is the greatest politician in history. But I also think Phil Malone is worse in terms of contributions to our town.

I hope the blog administrators will post this. I think this exchange is useful for voters and I very much look forward to your response.

No. An immediate fire back of misdirection, from the playground selection of Oh Yeah, who sez; you first; you're worse; did not-did too.

  57. Malones brother was hired in 1994. You really want to go down this road? What about Mikes best friend Stacy Crain being hired for the water department? What about mikes neighbor, Tina Jones being hired as the secretary for the Supe/Town Attorney? HUH? Do you really want to keep going, OK - what about mikes best friend and shares a driveway with Joe Kelly who Cristo appointed to the planning board.
Useful exchange - maybe. Malone has been in office 6 months - SIX MONTHS! Give the man a chance - Cristo had three years to do absolutely nothing. Lets level the playground area huh?!?!

I have lived in East Greenbush for many years. I've never seen the likes of someone so hell-bent on full destruction of established and functional departments and workers as Mike cristo.
He has openly admitted to being a Union Buster and it clearly shows with his hatred for ALL town workers - regardless of what he says. He may have one or maybe two people who will speak with him but even that's a stretch!

  58. I have a few Cristo accomplishments :
#1)- the scrap debacle, he was the Town Board liason to the DPW and Transfer Station at the time that there was no apparent $ being turned in.
#2 ) the sale of a Town Vehicle and failure to give the money back to the Town - but instead make it an election issue and blame everyone who had no access to the money instead.
#3) digging up a Town Water line without the required permits and then blame that on a former friend who would have absolutely NO IDEA about any of that, yet the self 0-described "contractor" failed to do even the basics and when he dug up the town water line and our DPW had to come out on OVERTIME to ifx his mess, he tried to turn the entire debacle around and blame people who were not eben there!
#4) unauthorized use of a Town vehicle to leave the area to go to used car auctions. But..all in all, it was Defruscio- Cristo's best friend and business partner in the sale of the Town truck!
#5) the absolute decline of the youth summer program due to hiring a completely incompetent employee to run the youth program into the ground!
#6) having the Town DPW install a water line so the value of your home and adjoining property would increase! WOW!!

    Should I keep going ?

  59. I do believe that Mike Cristo's was the deciding vote that kept the Town from buying Bove's golf course for $1.7 million before the fact of the $2.5 million debt came to light. Would have been a gigantic boondoggle, but a place for McCabe to retire to and manage.

  60. Friends and neighbors:

Mike Cristo and Ann Taylor are not running for office.

Phil Malone and Sue Mangold are.

So far Phil Malone's lack of contributions to our town is being excused by his length of time in office. His gaffe at the opening of the CFAC is being ignored by his supporters. As is his insults to taxpayers. Remember the gadfly stuff the Democratic Party had to pull from their web site last year?

Sue Mangold has been in office the exact same amount of time as Phil Malone. So I trust Phil's supporters will accept that comparing him to Sue is a valid comparison.

I continue to insist that Phil Malone has done NOTHING. I wish he had explained his interesting vote against adding a person to the DPW staff.

Sue Mangold has been an active and contributing member of the CFAC. I am pretty certain she attended almost every meeting and gave freely of her time and energy for the good of our town.

So, let's compare Phil and Sue. Same length of time in office, same political party, same opportunities to show their skills and abilities and interests and commitments.

And how does Phil compare to Sue? I insist to you, his avid supporters, that Phil Malone has done nothing. Nothing at all.

Now I am betting the blog administraotrs will not post this because it exposes Phil Malone for what he pretty much is - a guy who has done nothing. But we'll see. And if it does get posted please respond with your comparisons of Sue and Phil. That will be eye opening for voters and, who knows, maybe it will motivate Phil to raising his game. Thank you.

  61. Who's to say the golf course would have been a bad thing? That place is a cash cow, always busy, plus the town would have had the pool that everyone has been looking for. Alot of revenue would have come from that place, so in my view, Cristo cost the town plenty, just because he doesn't play golf. It's to be expected though, from an unathletic sociopath who has no friends and can't function in a world outside of knocking down a building. Did you really need all that college, Mike? Your dad would have given you that business without the degree. Underachiever if you ask me.

  62. I was talking to someone this weekend that knows Ann Taylor, and has for some time, and was totally surprised when she said that Ann used to be a lovely person...huh....apparently BC (before Cristo). I guess being Mike's "mini me" (in thought, word and deed) has changed her. I have never heard the word "lovely" to describe her. I don't know her so I only know what she professes on the blogs...and that doesn't come across as lovely.

I was just wondering about something..I try to do all of the shopping that I possibly can locally...and I have never even once seen Ann at any of the stores here. I know what she looks like from her pictures in the Advertiser and political advertising. One would think I would see her at least once..I've lived here for 20 years.

  63. 3:37, you are dead wrong. McCabe is a pretty good golfer...no way would he play on that piece of crap course.

    ReplyDelete
  64. It never came to a vote before the Board, and....it was never about the golf course in the first place. It was mostly about the adjoining 350+ acres of land that canme with the deal . The golf course was actually viewed as the "red-haired step child" that was forced as part of the deal. Cristo and his few friends like to tell people that it was McCabe and the golf course, but the reality was that it was more about the vacant parcel of adjoining land .

    ReplyDelete
  65. The missed opportunity to purchase over 300 acres of underdeveloped land for 1.2 million dollars is one of the most short sighted mistakes of our former board member.
Phil Danaher understood the value of the property and the potential for recreational development. The golf course may have been converted to something more accessible to the residents.

The topic discussed at great lengths but the thought was it may be too expensive at this time. Mike Cristo had no deciding vote.

The towns of East Greenbush and Schodack are now at the mercy of Joe Bove who is in the process of selling the entire acreage to developers, who want to come in with apartments.

Please don't tell me again what a mistake it would have been - the mistake was not in doing it!

  66. 7:51am - I have no problem posting your opinion. Your entitled to your view point and you kept it clean. The simple fact that many of us disagree with you is probably a moot point in your view. Keep it clean - I highly encourage a good , solid debate.

    It's almost refreshing for a change !

    ReplyDelete
  67. I am going to attempt to close the golf course debate with some factual pieces of information. I will provide the web sites so those still interested can research the issue for themselves.

Check out golfmak.com Here's a quote: "It's 2011 and we are seeing many devastating golf course crashes. Banks are inundated with golf courses. Many appraise below the mortgage balance." There's more read for yourself but the point is that golf courses are notoriously bad investments.

Then there is this from golfmagazine.com:

Golf participation in the US fell 10.2 in 2008 to about the same level of participation as in 1995. Golf participation peaked in the US between 2000 and 2005. Since then it has gone down steadily.

These are basic facts - not some politcal spin. It is pretty clear that the decision to not invest taxpayer money in a golf course was prudent.

I would like to respectfully suggest that some of us may be blinded by our hatred of Mike Cristo. But I think a factual analysis shows he was being prudent - at least on the golf course issue. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  68. On the golf course issue.....It was Pheasant Hollow, which is a piece of junk. AND the Town couldn't afford it. If management had been half-way professional and business-like, the Town would not be spending money like a drunken sailor, would not have had the debt, and may have been able to make a case in a rational plan. But there is NO such professional and business-like open approach to development like that. It's all crony-driven.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Guilderland-owned Western Tpke and Colonie's courses are doing well. Bethlehem just lost it's bid to buy Normanside. Also I think negotiations were under way for both Evergreen and Pheasant Hollow. Either course would need a ton of money beyond the purchase price to make them playable, but it still could have worked had it gone through.

  70. I read it as the construction phase - not the running of the finished product , and if memory serves me, the jobs promised were to be in production and operations, not the construction. Bob Pasinella, quoted below, also still believes it will be local , independent contractors - "siggnificant for the area" ! How can that statement possibly be mis-interpreted? Below is the exact print of the T-U section you apparently are referring too:

Robert Pasinella, the IDA's executive director, said Tuesday that his organization had to report the numbers that way because FedEx Ground relies mostly on independent contractors for its delivery drivers -- and that will be most of the type of people employed by the distribution center.

He said that in the first year, there are expected to be roughly 133 independent contractors and four full-time FedEx managers. But those numbers should increase to 300 within three years.

"It's significant for the area," Pasinella said.

  71. FED-EX is ok with me!!June 22, 2011 1:42 PM

The FED-EX issue will never die so long as Ann Taylor or Mike Cristo breathe air. They were against it and therefore they will never let it rest. They wait until someone, somewhere will say something that they can spin and exploit.
Ann will then immediately blog something along the lines of : " I told you so" ! or something else derogatory and defaming to McCabe and the Board. How dare they approve something that she and Cristo disagreed with!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Jeff-677 read the article correctly. Unions protesting the construction phase. Did we all forget about the annual payments and mitigation fees that FedEx is coughing up?

FedEx was up front about both the transfer of current employees to EG and the use of contract delivery people.

    No "gotcha" moment here, folks.

  73. Why do we obsess over Cristo, Taylor and their followers? They are nothing but a distraction. They bait us and some take it hook, line and sinker!

They aren't the candidates. They aren't the deal makers. Let their followers rANNt. Let them have their fun at others' expense and not ours.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I would have no issue if I read something wrong.
FED-EX has yet to occupy the grounds. When they do , and if they fail on their promises, well then I suppose we'd all have something to make a stink about.

  77. Isn't Fed Ex revitalizing a large tract of commercial property that sat dormant for quite a long time, in an economic downturn?

Don't most of thes criticism amount to another round of what you did isn't good enough, with no superior proposals offered of accomplished?

Hasn't boy cristo, who proclaims himself to be a self made man in his father's business,
had several years of public service, and a record of that sort of finger pointing, but no production?

Did anyone read the other article on the front of the Business Section in the same TU, sourced to the same Union Official protesting in EG, that touts the further Chip Fab development in Malta with a positive spin on the same tax incentives?

Isn't EG having a lot of discussion and inquiry right now to set plans for using the serious funding that is coming in from the Fed Ex project?

  78. Just Asking

The answers are YES, YES, YES, YES AND YES.

  79. The "golf course issue" is again being twisted. It was NEVER about the "golf course" and revenue either being generated or lost. It was about the additional land that accompanied the golf course, and Joe Bove would not separate or split the parcel.
The ELKS club tried to purchase the golf course years earlier and the terms and conditions changed almost daily back then. Joe Bove is NO business man, and Schodact and East Greenbush Officials knew that going in , but the negotiations were necessary to prevent greedy developers from erecting worthless, cheap , apartment buildings. That friends and non-friends , was exactly what the "golf course" issue was all about.

  80. But 10:22.....Isn't that why municipalities have long range land use plans for?? (To be over-ridden as necessary, depending on the development and interested parties??)

  81. Jon Dohnson - ( hic ) !!June 24, 2011 7:50 PM

    Here's more from the "Queen of Mean" ;

"Why would you want to talk about anything else until after the stipend issue is resolved and the offenders brought to justice?? Don't you care that YOUR tax dollars went into their bank accounts improperly, if not illegally, to boost up their annual salaries and pad their pensions FOR LIFE?? Did you get a $5,000 bump up in your salary last year?? I know I didn't. Why should they?? They stole that money and hoped they'd never get caught. Well, they were caught thanks to the FOIL law and it can't be ignored. It WON'T be ignored no matter how many times you say "Let's come up with something new, shall we?" How foolish! "

That - ladies and Gentlemen is the absolute Queen of Mean - non other than ANN TAYLOR - the lady who simply doesn't get it. Between her and Don Johnson, the reform party is clearly headed to the bottom of the pond ! We can only hope that Fiacco see's the light at the end of the tunnel and walks away from these two and whatever it is they stand for or against. They have nothing and nobody is listening.
It isn't so much that it's being ignored- it's that it was put to bed months ago, ANN and DOn brought it back up again, so that Ann could blog about it and Don could write to the Advertiser about it. !
Those two make a great pair- huh !?!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I tend to think of the Reform Party and their dozen or so followers in our area as the "Twit Patrol". Fits perfectly!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Tis true...Ann is, without a doubt, the Queen of Mean. Also, Mike is the King of Creeps....
I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for being the pitiful creatures that they are. I have had dozens of people tell me they would not vote for anyone running within the Repubican party. Ann, Mike and his good buddy Chris DeFruscio have one thing in common..people just don't like them. Whoever put DeFruscio in the position....let me thank you too.

When push comes to shove...the Democrats stick together...and with these clown pushing..let's go Democrats!

  84. First of all Ann, you need to WORK to earn a pension, stipend, bonuses, benefits, etc. Something you know nothing about. Yes, work, the operative word here. How about some credible work history for you already. Justice?? How about you start paying your fair share of taxes to the town you live in instead of Taking advantage of your fathers VA credit?? Kinda like stipends, eh, Ann??? Not illegal, just maybe not ethical. Shut up already. A bigger phony doesnt exist in this town than you, seriously.

Cristo is now the expert and resident know-it-all on everything FED-EX ....blah!blah!blah! ( Mike needs to feel important - hence the ! after his blahs )
Then there's the queen - little miss giggle~giggle~boom-boom! Living large- not paying her fair share of town taxes , no meaningful employment history - slinging mud like the champ she is.....blah~blah~blah!!
That once again ladies and gentlemen - is a complete wrap up of the four remaining members of camp christo , drunk on their kool-aide and looking for a whooper of a hangover come November ! Can't wait for November !
